Does anyone know anyone who thinks this is a good idea or a good use of congressional time or energy?

Hi Amazonians. Can you share the work culture in Retail tech team or in Amazon in general. I've received an SDE1 offer. I have other offers from Microsoft and Goldman Sachs as well. I am really confused between Amazon and Microsoft. All the people I've talked to have said to take the Microsoft offer. Please share your thoughts. Thanks.

Lol, huge distraction tactic. I do generally agree the government shouldn't be banning books. But in the case of the six Dr. Suess books, it was a private company representing his family deciding to stop publishing so this law would not have had any impact. It's hard to take these people seriously.

This is the extent of GOP intellectualism. They have given up on putting forward policy ideas or making the system work for all Americans. Instead, they are one big white grievance machine, only focusing on cultural tensions for political gain.
How many hours has Fox covered trans athletes, Dr. Seuss books, and Mr. potato head vs COVID relief or the upcoming infrastructure legislation? It’s a party solely focused on outrage and division. The irony is they are completely silent when state governments like GA pass bills that make it illegal to serve water or food to waiting in line to vote.

It’s interesting that this entire movement relies on people not actually knowing what was offensive about the few books of Dr Seuss’s that were “banned.” There is genuinely racist imagery in there. It offends the people depicted. But conservatives know that “cancel Dr Seuss” sounds like woke over-reaction, just like “defund the police.” And there’s no nuance among that audience.

Yes, though it won’t get passed
Is this what happens when you post direct to fishbowl from the Fox News app? They should really do a one-app strategy.
I guess they won’t be able to ban Harry Potter anymore.
Any chance of a copyright claim by Suess’ estate...you know, the ones who decided to pull publication?
