I recently changed my job and after the first month in the new work place, I got a change in title (one step up) but without any changes in salary or packages as I was told that if the company would offer someone that position now, that person would get the same package and that mine was higher than what people got from the lower grade.

I took the title, of course, and stepped up to lead a couple of projects. I like the work but I do feel uneasy about what happened…

Any advice?

In talks with a recruiter to join a startup that just completed a round of series B funding how do I determine what compensation to ask for? From my understanding it seems the role would a mix of senior financial analyst and corporate development. Company is in a HCOL.
