I have a written offer that’s contingent on a background check. I don’t anticipate any hang ups with the check but would like to wait until giving my notice until everything is official. My question is that there’s a set start date on my written offer. Which could leave my current position with under a 2 week notice period. Thoughts on how to cautiously proceed while waiting for background check to complete?

I’m in investment banking coverage group. In New York City, can you be a part-time real estate agent if you are in investment banking front office( coverage group)? Whether have time set aside, technically are you able to do that? Friends in real estate agent in nyc easily make 300K with half of the year resting serving a niche market 2 years after college.
