Does anyone know how I could confirm an insecurity? I question my chin and jaw line - it almost looks like I have a double chin in candid photos or videos, and no neck. But, when I look at my side profile in the mirror or in a selfie or video I take myself, it looks okay. I’ve asked ppl I know and they have all been adamant that it looks fine. But when I see an unflattering photo or video, it kills my self esteem. How can I find out if this is real or in my head? Not against plastic surgery.

Yea I think I look great in mirror but looks horrible in photos :) better than being bad in real life and good in photos! Happy to give you honest input :)

The fact that you dont like some photos of yourself and are posting about it is proof.

No one has perfect photos everytime, including models- they just hide or delete the unflattering ones (e.g. Beyonce publicist after her superbowl performance tried to get all unflattering photos banned from being spread online)

It’s all about the angles! We are constantly shown photos of people captured at the perfect angle, with great lighting, and often a bit of photoshop.
I have the same insecurity, and have to remind myself of the above. I will never have an enviable jawline, but the girl who has the jawline you envy also has unflattering photos of herself.
Google “Poot Lovato” and look at the unflattering photo of Demi Lovato, next to other photos taken the same night… proof that sometimes it’s all angles and lighting.

A lot of this is genetics, and personally doing facial self-massage helps a lot and does make a noticeable difference if consistent. I highly recommend Face Gym website and All You Can Face youtube channel for guidance.

You can go get a consult and see if they recommend kybella. I also have what appears to be a double chin but was explained that it’s not fat but loose skin which kybella does not help. I would have to do something more invasive that I’m not comfortable with just yet. They should hopefully also tell you if it is indeed a problem or not (not all - but I found someone who gives me honest feedback and has persuaded me against procedures)

Post here and people will be honest. Just don’t take it personally if it’s not what you want to hear

I'm interviewing for Sr Product Design positions & each interview is 30 minutes to share 2 case studies. With only 12 min/case study (I eat up some time introducing myself & setting up the work), does anyone have advice on what to make sure I show? It's so hard to hit all the points they I'm trying to hit: problem definition through user research, wireframes, design exploration, usability tests, prototypes, final designs, red lines, engineering handoff, KPIs. Any advice or examples?

I’ve been in the HVAC industry for 11 years with 10 of those in the field as a technician. As a technician I was considered very capable and was always considered one of the best where ever I worked. How did you get into outside sales? Any tips on how I can break into it Thanks for the help
