Does anyone know how long it takes to get the work permit associated with marriage green card these days (assuming a straightforward case)? I am hearing anywhere between 1 and 1.5 years and wanted to confirm. Thanks!

Got RFE on H1B extension and it got denied. Planning to refile. How long are the refile decisions taking? Premium processing has been stopped, so it will be usual queue? Anyone been through this?

Looking for hope & exceptions with this situation my inlaw (German citizen) is in. They came over on Fulbright and now is on O1 but in exile back in Germany. I know it’s a long shot but has anyone been in this situation and transitioned to permanent US residency? They are married to a US citizen and have a kid (born in US). Immigration attorneys are not super helpful on precedent.

Anyone filed h1b in regular processing and changed to premium? If so, can you please help with the process and approvals required?

How’s KPMG with GC processing? Are they as open to GC processing as EY or Deloitte? Worried if I should switch to KPMG? Currently on H1B. HR said they will consider GC processing after 12 months but looking for any perspectives.

Anyone here from the UK? I'm on a H1B and ain't been home in a fair while. Was hoping to get back for Christmas, given it looks like travel is opening up (at some point?) In November, but my immigration counsel seemed dubious on how easy it would be to renew the H1B to get back to the States in a reasonable time. While country looks like bedlam atm tbh.

If we file for I130 and I485 concurrently (wife sponsoring GC) along with EAD and AP, and I have a valid H1b as well (until March '23), can I travel outside and return on the basis of H1b?
We plan to get a lawyer shortly to file GC(which should take under a year) and we plan on going to India in March/April, but if I leave during that time, will the AP/EAD get voided? Can I still return on H1B?

In Deloitte when you file for an LCA for a change in location, and a corresponding H1B amendment, Deloitte does not do it in premium processing.

I was surprised to learn this.. I received a response that there are no exceptions to this rule.
