I think it depends on which state / office you submit your application to. I am in California and it has been 5 months. My case is straight forward snd my lawyers have given me a timeline of 6-9 months.
I wanted to add a question to this thread - would it be better to apply to jobs after receiving the EAD or a few months before. Would employers entertain your application if it’s done before if you give them a tentative start date when you get your EAD.
7 months for EAD card that lets your work but things have been moving very slow because of pandemic
Been 11 months waiting

Two weeks if all goes well if you filed this year - if you filed in 2020 it hasnt been going too well for those people
I am so jealous . Here waiting for 5 months now cause I filed last year. Really want to leave my job.
Depends on which office is processing your application. Check the first three letters of your receipt number.
