Does anyone know if Accenture even offers MBA tuition coverage for people in CD&O?

CD&O career track is usually slower and you don't have the "up or out" pressure. Wouldn't say second class as the salary is very similar to C&M and activities often are the same. But I know CD&O friends who made it from Associate to SM before they hit 30, so you can also rush through the ranks if you are career focused.if not, CD&O is also a good place to work on a healthy work life balance

Thank you ACN2!! How about the progression path. I heard it’s unlike CM people who have kinda ‘standard’ promotion, but for CDO, there is no ‘designed’ path. Is this still true? What will be the designation for CDO people? (Consultant, delivery M, or architect?)

like

CDO is somewhat like industry job. And titles are almost exactly like CM with a few exceptions like specialist and associate manager.

like

CD&O is mostly staff aug and less potential to rise through the ranks. Pay, raises, and bonuses are often less too.

Is it ever possible to switch from CDO to CM? I’m scared after reading all of these. Consultant2, I also just accepted an offer in CDO! What is the pay/PTO/401k difference roughly?

There is no more PTO and 401k difference. Everything was leveled out a few months ago. Yes bonus overall is smaller based on the yearly survey we just did in ACN bowl but raises aren't terrible.

*Federal is the exception here, they didn’t make everything exactly even

How about the speed of progression in CM and CDO. Sorry for asking a lot of dump questions here, m trying to understand if it worth fighting for change to the CM track. Let’s say the step from senior analyst to specialist in CDO, how many years are usually required to make that promotion?

I used to work at Accenture and made the switch from CDO to CM but the process would have probably been easier to quit and rehire than to move internally. If you’re not coming in as at least a manager and upward movement is your goal, you should have a more in depth conversation with your recruiter about career progression so there is no confusion. I certainly wish I did prior to. In CDO you progress from consultant (level 9), to associate manager (8), manager (7), senior manager (6)...I think there is another stop at level 5 (someone else please keep me honest) for CDO before MD CM has no associate manager so you move right from consultant to manager, then to senior manager, then to MD. Also, bonus for CDO has a cap of 3% (pathetic for ‘consulting’) of which 1.5% is your performance and the other 1.5% is firm performance. It was explained to me they have low bonus because CDO is ‘eligible’ for overtime...good luck getting your project lead to allow that.
