Question to the bowl -
I am working in Deloitte PMO Analyst with cumulative work ex 2.5 years. I want to move to Program Management in FAANG. But for all the posts I see work ex is more than 3 years with an MBA. So, Should I go for an MBA first or should I apply for the same roles. I am mainly aiming Amazon.
Seeking mentor at Principal Product Manager level from FAANG companies who can guide me to in my path to get into these companies
People who are long FAANG, do any of the government lawsuits coming worry you(antitrust/monopoly, content, etc) as a long term shareholder? I figure most of these tech companies may get a slap on the wrist but understand the risks. Heck, most of these senators are invested in these companies and are they really going to break up companies like Amazon & Facebook? Seems like they would establish an extremely dangerous precedent

What level should I expect at FAANG? I have a PhD in CS from a world top 10 university. I did a PhD after working 3 years in the industry, and since my PhD, another 3 years have passed. Currently I'm a staff engineer in the semiconductor industry (hence no FAANG). On seniority: 50% I'm acting tech & team lead, scrum master, regularly negotiating with stakeholders, across multiple teams etc., 50% actively developing. Options: generalist SWE at Google /Facebook (Meta) or embedded SWE at Meta.
Recruiting at Meta vs Amazon/AWS, what are your thoughts?

How much would my tech stack and language be a factor in getting selected in faang or good product based companies?

I read everywhere that only DSA and system design is needed, but I'm still concious about my tech stack.

Looking for advice/perspective. currently a senior 1 (ignore my title on here, it isn’t updated) hoping to early promo to manager at the end of my senior 2 year. All signs point to this happening at my current firm based on reviews and discussions with my counselor and teams. I feel pretty behind in comp, and could probably get a $25k bump by switching firms. That is a lot of money but comes with having to rebuild my reputation at the new firm and probably not promoting early. Worth it?
You know how if a designer is stuck they like go to Behance & immediately get inspired. What are some go to places for writers? I’m stuck on a manifesto. And I hate my life.

I’m in the middle of an implementation project currently but am actively interviewing for other positions. Is it inevitable that I’ll be burning bridges by leaving the firm? Idk why I feel so guilty. I’m one of the only BA’s who the client trained for 3-6 months and have close relationships with most management. Project won’t end till late 2022. I just don’t see myself happy in implementation work long term. Advice? Thanks!

Anyone in Nashville looking to meet new people?
In my third year at a small firm and was able to move up fairly quickly. I’m thinking I want to try to move to a big firm in the coming months but unsure how to network my way in. I’ve reached out to some warm connections, done cold LinkedIn outreach and sent out some applications just to see if I could get a bite. Graduated from a small university and work at a not huge nor well known company. I’m worried my resume/LinkedIn gets glossed over. Any tips?
Anyone taken a medical leave of absence while only working for a short time? I have an eating disorder, and with how I am doing now my treatment team is urging me to go to residential treatment, where no electronics are allowed. I was a campus hire and currently a second year associate. I feel like I haven’t contributed enough to take paid medical leave, and I don’t want to ruin whatever reputation I have started to build. I would appreciate any personal experiences or advice about this. TY!!
