Hi fellow 🐠,
I have a valid I797 till September 2022 but my I-94 is about to expire in Sep 2021 and i have travelled internationally last year and i see the I-94 printed on my old passport in line with my VISA stamp as Sep 2021. Would i be out of status in September 2021 and how can i avoid it? I have reached out to the local CBP office and they mentioned it is in line with my VISA/Passport Expiry.

I’ve got a really good job. Wasn’t looking to move but a big 4 consulting firm reached out. I received a very generous/life changing offer. I’m so worried about work/life balance if I take this offer. Also worried about layoffs in a year or two when the market gets back to normal. I’ve got an infant and a 5 year old. I know that I can manage my current workload. I don’t want to pass up a great opportunity but I’ve got to be available for my family too!

My question is that this is the highest what kind of raises can one get, and how much target bonus is realistic at C level? 7YOE, M1 at Big 4.

Hi Fishes,

My last working date with TCS is on 4th March 2022 and now they are offering me 80% hike and Canada onsite opportunity and telling that will initiate visa as soon as I take resignation back and also ready to provide written confirmation. On the other hand I have an offer from IBM of 120% hike fixed and performance bonus would be there which I am not considering now.

Which one would be better? please suggest based on your knowledge and experience.

*calling big Pharma professionals* my friend wanted me to hop on and ask about a salary that she has received working as a quality insurance coordinator for one of the top 15 pharmaceutical companies. She is making 65,000 Canadian and that would narrow down to 50,000 USD, she wanted some insight on how much quality assurance or regulatory affairs associates or other levels make? Also is she being underpaid or is that the current market rate at the moment. Thanks in advance

Meet our newest Foster Pup! She is less that a year old, super sweet with people and other dogs. Took her shopping and she does great in public. Housetrained and we taught her basic commands in under a day. Very chill dog and would do well with a busy family. Don’t know the breed but she is ~25 pounds and doesn’t shed. Let us know if you know someone interested in adopting!

I’ve always gotten the advice that when you want to switch jobs you should take interviews from places you’re not actually interested in, so you can understand your value in the market and have better negotiating power.

I’m doing that rn - took a couple interviews to gauge my skills, my market value, and see what I need to work on for interviews that I actually care about.

However, I feel really guilty about wasting their time and going all the way knowing I’ll just say no at the end. Wwyd?

Currently going through some negations on an internal role. I’m currently at 88k and they offered me 100k for a position that requires a lot more work. Do you guys think it’s easier to land a higher salary when applying externally rather than internally? Also this is for a territory sales management role. They stated 120k+ is extremely high for that role. What do you guys think? Playing the game?

Hi! I’m in FDD and looking to move out of California to either TX (Dallas) or Florida (open to different cities) within this year (around Aug/Sep).
Can anyone speak to the opportunities/career growth available in these cities? I’m not sure Miami is where I see myself in FL, maybe more Tampa—but I don’t think FDD is there.
I’ve heard a lot of good things about Dallas too so trying to keep my options open.
Is Dallas > Florida?

Any insight would be appreciated—thanks!
