You can ask. At Deloitte they would have paid for my bar prep fees. I got it for free so I didn’t submit anything but it was an option. They paid for my fees to sit for the bar even though I took the bar months before I started.

I know they’ll cover the sitting fees for my first attempt in each section. That alone helps but was trying to see about Becker too $$$

When I started everyone told me that they would reimburse up to the cap, but I got the full amount I paid for Becker reimbursed (I paid it in full before I had an offer). This was 5 years ago, so I don’t know if anything’s changed, but I submitted mine along with my reimbursements for testing fees and it was no problem.

No, EY’s corporate rate basically costs them nothing.

Thanks

I started at a different firm initially and we could get access to Becker as soon as we got a full time offer...not sure about EY but wouldn’t hurt to ask your contact at the firm if they do that too

Becker and the grad school study courses. Such a racket.

Ey will only reimburse about $1800. You can submit via mercury expense. Don't even need a pre-approval, just receipts.

I’m sure EY has a portal that had guidance. At KPMG you needed to pass all four until you were reimbursed.

Go to the cpa licencing compliance site. It looks like you can. You have to submit it with your fees.

Thank you so much!!

You should check to see if EY allows an allowance for other CPA reviews. If they do maybe you can use that?

They don’t provide you Becker access until you start?

I see

Same situation as you and I got mine expensed up to a certain amount

EY6, forms are old process. Now, everything is via mercury expense reports. Don't need pre-approval for CPA. Only need an approval if seeking secondary C- certification and want to expense.
