Dilemma: Job offer starting salary 18k more than my current salary with no overtime, within walking distance of my condo But my mammogram came back “Highly Suspicious for malignancy”. The offering firm would like an answer this weekend but my biopsy isn’t for another 10 days. Do I accept the offer contingent on my pathology report? It’s difficult for me to think right now. Any advice?

Can anyone relate to working from home and having children at home 24/7 due to mandatory virtual schooling? It seems as if my male colleagues do not understand why I can’t meet the billable hours each month. I haven’t had a paralegal or any admin assistance in 7 months. And one response I received today was “Can’t you just lock them out of your office.” No I can’t. And the firm is making 7k per month revenue off of me but wanting the double my billing.

Any firms that use CCH make sure your invoices are being checked carefully. We just reviewed ours and were over-billed the last 2 years. We were supposed to have discounts and the math wasn’t even correct across for the amount times the discount to the amount billed. The worst part is our rep then gave a bullshit story of how the list price was incorrect on the invoice but the amount billed was correct.

Do people negotiate on an allowance when buying a resale property? We found that the house needs a carpet replacement, paint and few minor fixes. Trying to understand what could be a reasonable allowance to ask for.

I feel like during the interviewing process you may have multiple interviewers and processes that go along with that, which means you may need time to compare offers. I want to be honest with the recruiter and say I am going to have to wait and compare offers when they are all on the table, which would be ~1 month.

I’m currently a high school teacher, but I have a final interview next week for an ID job that I feel very good about.
