So I'm at an agency and 80%+ of my time is new business. Pitch, win, set-up/semi-service until we get hires, move on to next pitch etc. (w/ fair share of losses too, of course). But I'm burned out. And while I'm valued, I don't see a return on my investments: personal time, my heart (I'm all in) and professional development. I get rewarded with small spot bonuses sometimes, but not a commission. So do I try to pivot to a real bus dev position? I feel confident I could. Anyone seen this done?

I’m a third year associate wanting to leave my second law firm. My first two years of practice I was at a small firm and left to a mid-size firm to practice insurance defense. I have enjoyed the practice but not the firm. The firm’s culture is toxic. The firm has had 7 attorneys leave in the last year. Is it wrong for me to wanting to leave? The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)

I’m 1.5 months delayed in getting my recommender a gift, what should I get him? Is an MBA worth it just to network, take a break and have fun? I have 5 years of IB from a BB (based in London) and feel the career uplift will be limited for me. The jobs I plan to target post MBA are jobs I can get today with my current CV. I come from a working class background and plan to self-fund, so cost is an important factor here

Planning on attending Tuck ($40K) but recently admitted to CBS ($0). Goal is strat. consulting in NYC/NJ (MBB preferred but ok with T2). Feel like CBS is the obvious choice given the slightly higher chance of MBB NYC and NYC alum network, but Tuck is better fit socially (tight-knit community, smaller school, most folks new to Hanover) for an introvert looking to make circle of close friends.
