Does anyone know if the same 401k rules apply at EY as Accenture so they will cap the contributions coming for your check say if you hit the yearly limits in August? So if you hit the 22,500 in 23 there is no way to go over for tax issues. Thinking to frontload next year contributions if market is down. EY

Only if you are with EY for the full year, as they would only have access to ey 401k to determine the contributions

like

Yes. Great answer confirming since this year I was with 2 companies I put it a bit lower to avoid this issue.

Most payroll systems being used by large companies have these caps built in. You should be good to go, but you can always check in with the payroll team there to confirm.

Yes.

Thanks

Only problem w front loading is how EY calculates or used to calculate the match. But if you switch firms mid year, you prob lose out on the EY match anyway. So front loading might be a good strategy.

You should manage your contributions pretty close. New employer won't be able to cap you.

Last consideration is, if new employer has amazing match, you may not want to contribute anything at old job

Match is per pay period. So if you front load through say June and hit limit, you get $0 match from July to December.

Hey all newbie here. My husband and I are living that Double Income No Kid life wanting to (Financial Independence) Retire Early.

Both in tech in the Bay Area. I’m in Arizona visiting family and am thinking of an investment property. Does anyone have a book/course/video that they personally have used and recommend for flipping houses? I want to do some research there’s a lot of content out there.

Not trying to get a full blown car rental business off the ground. Anyone had success passively renting a second vehicle in a market this size? Please help me select my insurance plan. I am married (going to be 24% tax bracket) with a baby so I can choose between low, medium or high deductible medical plans. My wife is anticipating having significant medical expenses for the remainder of the plan year over the max out of pocket (oop).

Taking into account employer HSA contributions, tax savings and the max OOP amounts, is it less expensive to go with the high deductible (calc attached)? Sounds counterintuitive, but maybe I'm incorrect.

The base is 5k lower than what I make now and the benefits of maternity leave is unclear. I brought up the possibility of working remotely internationally due to family but the company does not allow that. I am looking for advice on whether I should accept this offer. This is before any salary or start date negotiation.
