I'm 30F with a BA in business admin, working in dead end job making 50k. Been applying for all kinds of better paying jobs for last 2 years with not a single interview. Can't afford to have kids or buy property. Don't see a way out 😔 Any advice besides rolling over and dying?
I have an internal transfer offer to FDD but am also interviewing with PWC. Does it make sense to leverage the fact that I already have an offer in my PWC interviews? My thinking is it could be a pro to show one firm already thinks I am a good candidate for FDD coming from audit, but I know my internal transfer salary is way lower than what I would be offered by PWC so don’t want to unintentionally open that can of worms and lowball myself.
I’ve heard that at a certain GMAT score, you’re just “checking the box” and any increase won’t have a significant impact on your app. Do you guys agree? If so, what’s the score that checks the box?
I am on bench now, if I resign now can I get early release? Or is there any buy out option available?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 2.5 years and during our college years/before we were dating I slept with one of his friends and also kissed two others. Even after being together for that long he still gets upset about it and causes a fight. I don't even know what to say anymore because it's so ridiculous to me..... is this normal? How do I resolve this for good? Any advice is appreciated :)

I'm learning SQL and found this cheat sheet online. Just thought it could help others also. Frustrated that I didn't learn more about it in my DA/DS program. Why don't they teach it at the same level as other languages? Or is it just where I went to school? Any other learning tips?

Hello! I am currently a Benefits Administrator and have been for the last year. I have about 5 years of HR Generalist experience and I am interested in a new role. Any suggestions on a new career path? Thanks!
Any suggestions on how to continue helping a new employee in our dept when they do not take notes? I am always willing to help, but it is becoming frustrating to constantly go over the same thing. I have expressed that because our dept does so many things that it is good to take notes over the things we are going over. When our MGR was out of town I spent a large amount of time being patient and helping her all throughout the day. It is now taking time from the task that I need to work on.
Does anyone specialize in early retirement packages/buyouts? Do you use standard formulas or is each bespoke? What is typically included? What could be thrown in as beneficial or helpful?

I have a friend in London that has a fantastic offer from GS - he will also be in HR. But he currently has a pending charge against him that his lawyer is pretty confident that he can get the case thrown out. It’s an assault by beating charge and was done in self defense after the other person trespassed and walked up to my friend in a threatening way. My friend wants to turn it down as his lawyer doesn’t think he will pass vetting. Given the circumstances, possible he can be upfront & pass bgc?
Great advice from Jay Sherry
I’m in a rather peculiar situation. I have been in the HR field going on 4 years, I have over 11 years of management experience, I got my PHR last year and I recently graduated with my MBA with a concentration in HR this month. I am ready for a more challenging role. However, there doesn’t seem to be much available at my current company. However, I am going on 5 months pregnant with the expectation of being out in October. I feel like once I mentioned my pregnancy I was in a holding pattern.
I have two questions. I have 10 years of experience in multiple sectors and I have been trying to gain a leadership position. I am attempting my PHR this summer but what are some tips in order for me to obtain a leadership position? Also, how long does it take to obtain another position out of state? I am trying to move to Houston but I don’t want to move until I am confident I can obtain a position in the city before packing up and leaving.

I’m looking to carve out my career in HR. I have 2 years in a dedicated HR Coordinator role (essentially with Generalist duties) and 5+ years in senior level hospitality management. I’m interested in getting my PHR or getting a certificate in data analytics with business/HR focus. Thoughts on next steps?
So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?
