Are you in a hurry to get the cpa? Eventually you'll get it, it's not that much time required.
I did a year of part time experience alike you. Instead of doing all of the math behind the hours as they were very flexible and going back to my old supervisor for signing on my behalf, I remained patient until I made one year of full time work and had EY do all of the legwork. Technically, those 20 hour work weeks would work, they would need to be counted twice to be recognized as one week of 40 hours. At the end of the day, I would be patient and have the current employer handle the paperwork. Getting the license a little sooner won't make a huge impact in your career.
There's a section that allows 20 hour/week experience to count, but I wonder if anyone has tried getting their employer to sign off even you worked just barely under 20 hours, and if that worked. It would give me a couple months experience
Getting the license sooner just means you have to fulfill CPE requirements earlier too....
California form has a section for part time work. Maybe NY has something similar?
Yes it counts in all states
I think you must do 20 hours a week for it to count at all
