Does anyone know of a good therapist (preferably one who offers remote sessions)? I’m sure I have tons of issues but I’m wondering if anyone knows of someone who specifically works with people in law/other high pressure professions?

Yes!! Dr. Neal Gordon in Chicago. I only do remote with him. He talks to a ton of attorneys and professionals. He knows more about law firms than I do lol. He may be the smartest person I know. I feel great when I leave and learn something about people/myself. Can’t say enough about him.

Any recommendations in LA?

like

Following.

My local bar’s lawyer assurance program gave me a list of therapist who work with attorneys and another list of those who take my insurance. I’d give them a call.

Assistance, assurance, tomato, tomato. Been a long week alright.

Will Meyerhofer is ex biglaw and is fantastic.

Thanks all for the recommendations! Really appreciate it.

There’s a therapist who was once a practicing big law attorney in the Bay Area. Her name escapes me, but look up the description. I think she’s in Berkeley

My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.

Option 1 - Stay at current company where work is cushy, IPO confirmed, TC will increase 20% with promo, and WFH has been extended until next year. The work is not interesting and have stopped learning. I am thinking of moving to another city permanently and there is an office there. Currently a Sr Analyst Option 2 - Brand name company, title bump to Sr Manager, work is exactly what I want to do in a major industry working with c-suite, ~10% comp increase from current company’s promo pay cont.
