Does anyone know of a way to secure funding (e.g., mortgage) in the USA for a property oversees. Found a project I want to do but local financing options are brutal.

I don’t have property here so - heloc loan won’t work which seems to be the easiest option

A mortgage company needs to secure the asset as part of the title. They cannot do that in another country so that won’t work.

Only option is to get an unsecured personal loan (brutal interest and amounts will be low) maybe use a commercial loan if it’s a business, or use a local lender in your target country.

Hi all
I have been working hard for a project since 8-9 months really hard giving KT to team preparing docs for documentation debugging testing things out did automation being a manual tester
Since i was divided into 2 projects another colleague who was also in the project was made the TEST lead
We were both doing equal but obviously a lead gets more limelight due to that my manager has awarded her with 25k as a reward

I have a brand new person on my team- she is totally new to the field, has recently returned to the workforce (solo mom of 3 teens), is very smart. We own a rental property that has appreciated quite a bit and have the opportunity to do a 30-yr cash out refi at 75% LTV that would leave us with about $200,000 at the end of the deal. Rent currently wouldn’t cover the costs and we’d need to deploy the cash and earn about $750/mo to break even. We’d ideally like to use the money to invest in other property and syndicates. Seem like a good idea? Not sure if we are over leveraging ourselves and it’s worth the risk.

Any one into San Diego real estate market. Moving from east coast and considering buying a family home but nothing decent is less than 1 mill and property prices have jumped like 15-20% in one year.

We have fully renovated our house, now nearly everything is new. new windows sidings all interior finishes newly expanded yard etc. we are on market for a while now and haven’t received an offer we wanted. Feedbacks are no grass in backyard and price is high in the neighborhood. However almost none of our neighbors’ house have been renovated like ours and our appraisal came higher. Would love everyone’s thoughts! Which of these two options would you pick if your goal is to buy and hold for appreciation purposes given these are in a very hot market. Both same lot size.

Option 1:
- $175k lot located on very busy street but across the street from new $700k townhomes and restaurants

Option 2:
- $250k 3 bed/1 bath fixer upper located at end of dead end street, houses on street all fixer uppers, located down the street from Option 1 (so also near new builds and restaurants)

One item borrowers shopping for mortgages get too caught up in is rate. Most borrowers don’t know how to read a loan estimate and get taken advantage all the time. Just because a lender/bank offers you a low rate doesn’t mean it’s best deal. Most cases, especially now since rates have gone up, you are being charged points for some of these lower rates in the 4s.
