I work as a Solution Specialist (sales rep) at an Authorizer Verizon retailer. Phone/wireless sales is not something I want to do forever. At a mandatory full office meeting, in front of everyone, the office manager announced that I was eligible for a Senior Role, without telling me before hand. I have to apply to the role. So, if I don’t apply, it’s my ass right? Also, should I run for the hills, is this my sign? The position pays a little more in commission, but it comes with no boost in base and it’s sort of an managerial internship, where they show me the ropes. The problem is I don’t ever want to be in management.
