Moving to NYC next year, and my SO is based in Seattle. He is very keen to spend more time with me in NYC, even suggesting living there while remote working is still a thing. I’m a little hesitant bc we’ve only been dating for 2-3 months and it would feel like moving in tgt. Also not sure if i should be looking for a studio or 1br for more space but at a much higher price tag that i have to pay for. Any thoughts?
Met with my boss today and was told “well you’re way better at your job than we expected...so keep doing that and just that. We might be able to have some more interesting work for you to do in 2-3 years”. Meanwhile...I am BORED TO TEARS!!!!!! And it’s tempting to quit, but I make more money than both of my parents combined EVER have, we had zero layoffs during COVID, and I really do love the people. At the end of the day...I guess I’m just hear to vent and to see if I’m the ONLY one.
After a year of chaos from Covid and furlough I don’t know what the hell I’m doing with my career anymore
A big fear of mine lately has me feeling like a terrible human being. My brother in law had a small covid wedding last year, I was so excited to go but had to cancel last minute because I started miscarrying a few days before the wedding, at 5 weeks. I ended up watching the livestream, and miscarried during the wedding, alone at home (I urged my husband to go to the wedding and that I’d be fine, my parents were checking in on me). I haven’t been able to get preg since. (Contd in comments)
Anyone work remotely and also have a remote supervisor? In an office environment where 90% of the team is working remotely, I’m trying to understand why the supervisor can’t also be remote.
Anyone else feel stuck? I know some of it is Covid but I feel like I take one step forward and two steps back. I just can't get anything to move forward. I had a rough break up, stuck in my job, can't leave the country, no hope that anything will change in the near future.
All clients need to explain conference call etiquette when WFH to their employees. So far I’ve heard people washing dishes, talking to their spouse and kids, making lunch, and playing with pets...
Has anyone ever shit their pants at work or on the way to/from work? I’ll go first... Was on my way to my buddy’s place for post-work dranks when I got the sudden urge to poo. Stuck in rush hour traffic I started sweating. Fast food places were not allowing people inside (only drive thru during peak covid) so I drove around looking for bush to shit in. Found a house with no lights on and nice bushes out front and pulled over. (Cont’d in comments)
Two colleagues have burnout and the partner has nothing else to say than „they knew the risks when they signed for the job“!!! Man im glad we are currently working remote or I would have punched that MF in the face. Does Consulting or partner level kill any sense of humanity in us? Im boiling right now🤬🤬🤬🤬 We can do better than this😓
What "hard truths" or insights has the coronavirus crisis revealed about your own firm and our larger industry? Let's be pretty open and honest here.
Great vibes with girl after 2nd date, definite potential for more. However, noticed that she adjusted her age by either 1 or 3 years on dating app, and just confronted her about it. She wrote it off due to Covid year, but I find the lack of honesty and real remorse concerning. What would you do?
Any recommendations for a portable second monitor? Ideally something that would fit in a carry-on? Since I’m still WFH, I’m taking a week-long trip to visit my sister. We’ll both be working during the week and I’d like to avoid working only from a laptop if I can.
Art Directors and Designers, what does your WFH work station look like? I’d like to upgrade mine to be more robust than just my laptop.
When should I tell my boss/team that I’m expecting? I’m fully remote and don’t have to worry about “showing” at work, but want to give my colleagues ample heads up without jumping the gun too soon
DCA -> LAX ... anyone has any experiences or recommendations? Trying to make my mind between sticking with AA or switching back to Delta (used to fly with them) 🤷🏼♀️
Chase Sapphire Reserve or Chase Sapphire Preferred? ...or the billion other credit card companies?
Was going to give my two weeks notice in November. Found out today I am booked on a 3 week project across APAC.. so I try and stay a few more weeks? 😳
Anyone know what the Salary range for an Operational Risk Officer at Bank of America or Wells Fargo ? Also, do you know if they do sign on bonuses? 7YOE

Hi fellow fishes, I've been offered a Tech strategy role at PWC SDC, Bangalore. My total experience is of 6 years (2.5 pre-MBA and 3.5 post-MBA). The offered role is of the same domain in which I've been working for the last 3.5 years @ACN. PWC are offering me a Senior Associate position. My question is - should I or can I negotiate with the HR to give me a better position (e.g. Manager) than the Senior Associate? Thanks in advance!
Delta Medallion - NYC based and will be close to renewing plat this year. Miles run or take gold/miles and get a head start on next year?
Is Premium Processing stopped right now for H1B transfers? Might have to defer the job hunting if PP can’t be done as switching on acknowledgement seems a bad idea in current scenario.
Getting a lower title than what I interviewed for but the salary matches what I asked for. Would you go?
Does an MBA make sense if you are already at 18lpa with 3 yoe.? Would love to hear your thoughts. TIA

Currently own a house, both sides of family, wife with great job, and long term aspirations to stay in this city that has a T25 MBA program Vs Leaving it all to go to M7 for a couple years. Worth it or no? Consulting path but doesn’t have to be MBB.
Been in consulting for 1.5 year and realized it isn't for me (or at least Accenture and the type of work we do isn't) obviously I know the exit opps will not be as good/limited. Recommendations 🐠
Thoughts on switching from big 4 to mid tier?
Dumb q- will my status with AA carry over to JetBlue? I know you can now earn points with them
