I saw the Vera Institute has openings. You can also look at Common Justice and Center for Court Innovation.

Not really social justice, but public service related: sometimes judges take on interns who are college students. It would be a great way for you to learn more about how the court system works, which will also look good for law school apps/future applications with social justice internships once you’re in law school. I’m a judicial law clerk in north NJ and almost every judge I’ve met is open to having interns.

The ACLU always needs volunteers

I’m struggling. I was previously working at a regional firm that’s well regarded in my state. I was busy but I liked the people and there was mutual trust. The partner I worked with a lot moved to an AM 100 law firm and asked me to go with her. I said yes, even though I was generally happy where we were working. I’ve been at this new firm 6 months and I’m miserable. We’re all overworked, I think I’m burned out (making silly mistakes), & the pay is not that much higher. Not sure what to do.

Was a bit caught off guard this week when I received notice that I was not moving forward in the interview process for a position in-house after being asked to apply by the person hiring and subsequently told I would move forward to the next stage b/c they were very interested in me. Given the sudden 180 & the fact the position is still open, I assume there was a concern about me that came up but literally no idea what it could have been! Would love advice on if (& how should ask for feedback?
