What advice would you have wished your young selves to know?

Awake all night thinking about my first love from when I was 22and he was 28, and realizing he was probably it but because I came from an abusive family and developed so slowly as a human, it was well into my 30s before I understood why things fell apart. Oh well. He cheated on his first wife and they’re divorced now, and he got remarried to someone average. Maybe that storyline wasn’t meant for me. Just wish my storyline wasn’t being alone 98% of the time.

I am a career nanny who previously owned and operated her own nanny referral agency in Hawaii for five years...then Covid came along and wiped it right out of business since March 2020. I feel like my entire identity has been taken from me especially with Covid and vaccine mandates. I’ve been dealing with severe anxiety and depression for the past year, which has started to have very noticeable physical impacts. My PCP recommended therapy & SSRI medication, but I’m very weary of the medication route.
