Does anyone know of where I can get something notarized during this time? Usually Chase bank has been my go to but unsure if they are still operating this service. The UPS Store is charging $50+! TIA.

if you’re in new york i can notarize. DM me.

like

BOA does notaries too. Most branches are open. They just want you to wear a mask

I found a guy on yelp. Maybe try that. Met at a Starbucks and got the stuff done.

Did exactly this too.

TD bank have notaries too, and they’re super friendly in general.

There’s an Executive Order issued that allows for remote notarization. I have been notarizing my clients remotely without issue. I know this doesn’t help answer your question, but searching for a “remote notary” may help narrow things down.

Chase at Times Square is open

We have a $450,000 mortgage and our house value right now is $590,000 which equals to >20% equity. Lenders mentioned that we can cut our $2,806 payment to as low as $1,700-$1,800. I was on VISA and therefore I could not jump as I had wanted, my base compensation journey from Y1-Y8 has been: 68k, 72k, 80k, 88k, 104k, 120k, 122k, 132k. Now I just got an offer with base of 160k. If I start the job hopping cycle now (like 1 year job), is it realistic to get to 220k base and 250k TC in about 2-3 years?

I'm a SWE from Italy. Love my country but salary and taxes here are outrageous. Got 2yrs experience in fullstack and data science, 2masters, a peer reviewed paper and outperform all my peers for 24k€ a year.
I'm thinkin about landing a remote SWE job (leetcoding and building a portfolio this summer).
Have you got some advice? Is it possible to work for US remotely without visa? What other countries pay well? Is it possible to land a 100k$+ with this kind of experience and working from Italy?

Posting here because I truly don't know what to do. Hired a moving company to move out of NYC. They turned out to be just the 'brokers' not the company who would actually do the moving services. Essentially both companies worked together to get as much money out of me as possible, and the pick-up experience was awful. It's now been 10 days and I still have no idea where my belongings are, and neither company will answer my calls, texts, emails, anything!! What can I do in this situation?
