Was feeling really accomplished after bonus & comp came out today. Then I ran into Mark Cuban at Whole Foods..... and fell right back into the bottom of the pecking order. 🙄
I've been with my company for several years now and really enjoy working there. As you know after being at a company for several years market value changes and your salary starts to feel outdated (raises and things aside).
Given the last few years alone, with the pandemic and inflation, my current salary and what recruiters are reaching out to me with on Linkedin, seems to be farther apart than ever (my salary being lower). How would you approach this with your company?
Applied to Deloitte for a SC position & was told by HR that I was aiming too high so she had me interview for a Consultant position instead. Received an offer, she asked what salary I wanted & I said $100k based off the averages I saw online, she quickly agreed. Today was my first day & I saw that in the system they have me as a SC which has an average of $120k so now I’m not sure if there’s an error or if I got finessed out of $20k 😭 is it worth it to ask HR about/any tips on how to go about it
Hi folks, I have received an offer from KPMG KGS to join as Associate Consultant in Pune. I have 4.5 years of experience and they're offering me 16 LPA fixed, 20% Variable and 50k joining bonus. Is this a good offer or should I negotiate for more. KPMG
I am currently working as an IT Director but looking to make a move to go after better pay. I have experience and certifications to go along with it. But I also have two felonies (a theft of property and drug possession). I turned my life around, got help and now have my Bachelors, PMP, 5 Salesforce Certs, Scrum Master and a few more. These happened in my 20s and it’s been almost 10 years. Any recommendations on companies that would give me a chance with a salary in the 120k range?
Hello! First post on here, I am being recruited by a large well known company. I’m not looking for a new job, I actually like my role and people. But, this new role has a budgeted salary that is $20k more than what I’m currently making. My partner and I are moving and the new homeowner costs and cost of living are high! I feel guilty for even interviewing with them because I am managing an intern this summer and if I were to get the job I would leave before their program is done.
Currently at a boutique digital innovation/strategy consulting firm. I’m at 2.5 years of experience and my salary is at 63K in NYC.

I feel like I'm in a vicious cycle. I'm exhausted all. the. time. No matter how much sleep I get, no matter how clean I eat.
I'm heavy and want to exercise but I'm fighting fatigue to even do work. Weight is coming off with clean eating so there's that. And so slowly.
I'm looking for and am going to go to an endocrinologist - I'm female and hitting 50 and a bit scared how badly the fatigue is.
Anyone where I'm at that have solid things that have helped?

Hi fishes. Does Optum HR use illegitimate methods to know a potential candidate's decision to join? For example calling the candidate disguised as TCS/Wipro HR asking details about current offers and active notice period.

I was offered a new role in my current org with account management responsibility for the largest customer in the product line I currently oversee. I have 2 years of working experience, but this role is a very large jump considering typical candidates might have 7-10 years experience minimum. My company has recognized me as one of the top talents, but offered a salary I believe is lowballed at $71k + 25% bonus eligibility. Is negotiating to $100k + 25% bonus appropriate or too big of a jump?

Conservatives have really begun to lose the thread on their talking points which is probably why they're almost exclusively culture war issues now.
Does anyone know what it's called when you search/Google something and phrase it in a certain way that will get you biased hits that support your views? Like instead of searching something objective such as "What is A's impact on B?" someone might search "Reasons why A is bad for B."

I have family members who are inside claims reps for a large company. The company sends out emails 4 times/day showing who is currently not available for calls. To everyone working in claims in the entire country! It’s been a minute since I worked in claims. And never for this particular company. But is this shaming the new way to manage WFH.? Sounds at least toxic.

My boss has told me that I’m being promoted really soon (6-8) months from today to an Account Manager position from being an assistant at my company. He’s giving me every resources possible for me to be ready for that position, resources such as books, card notes and trainings. Now, I’ve seen another internal position from a different department which I’m really interested in and I know I can get because of my background. Do I apply to that new position, or hold on for the AM position.
Hoping to start a salary thread!

Anyone else have the issue thatyour company overpays for new hires that often don't last a year but will not even pay existing employees anything close to similar rates for the same job or even jobs higher up ?
I am classified as an agent selling health insurance but there’s a private email I recently gained access to showing the company is using my broker license and I suspected that since I’m the agent of record on a lot of business. They pay for everything including leads but I’m working as an agent in one email whereas there’s another showing I’m using my license as a broker. I get $43,000 salary plus commissions so averaging $80 K a year. Any advice?

I’m thinking about applying at WTW for a Senior Account Manager role in the Chicago office. How do referrals work at WTW? Also, I have 4 years of experience in group captive insurance programs as well as most ancillary lines on the broker side. Does anyone else have group captive experience and could provide some advice on best companies to move to where I can use that expertise? I want to move to a larger company since I’m at a small place with not much room for growth currently.
Hello, does anyone work as an auto underwriter for insurance? I recently got accepted for an internal job position and was offered $50k. I’m currently a claim processor making $20/hour so the offer is more than what i’m making but is low in comparison to the average salary for an auto underwriter in AZ (which is around $58k). I believe because the company knows how much i’m making they lowballed me. Any tips on how to navigate the salary negotiation and can u share ur salary ?
I want to leave my captive company. I don’t think I am ready to be totally on my own even with a cluster group etc. There is an option to be subcontractor in another independent company. I can write she said like 300 companies in many states, it would be helpful because I have many friends out of state. Is taking 25% of sales for giving CRM and companies too much? Seems like a lot. It is like “owning your book” but I assume I would pay a high price if I want to totally manage myself in a futu

How much time do your analysts spend cleaning and structuring data vs actually performing analysis? I feel like I’m fighting data quality/support issues just to keep our quarterly reporting processes alive, much less creating value-adds through actual analysis or new technology implementation.
