Agencies aren’t really publicizing that info... so really hard to know how they compare.

groupm shared theirs in an internal presentation. it was as expected. very diverse at the bottom, not at the top. skewed heavily female

My team of 33 is over 60% non-White male. We have gay, lesbian, Asian, Black, Hispanic, disabled, female. No specific initiatives, just great people doing a great job.

Huge shared the numbers at a meeting last year, but the numbers for the company overall & the creative team are like vastly different. (Like 23% companywide 2% creative team)

I would pose this question in one of the general groups to start the conversation with some of the other folks. Use talking about it here is cool but without making as important as compensation or ageism in the other groups it turns into an echo chamber.

Not being in HR, hard to know but: A ballpark number I saw was 22% POC. I would say blacks are probably 8%. That number is closer to 3% at top. With less in disciplines like strategy, national media buying and creative. The natural distribution should be 40% POC consider 22-40 US pop. Should be even higher in NYC (over 50% black or Hispanic) and other minority-majority markets like LA and Atlanta.

I taught SDC for 20 years now my school has adopted the push in model this year. The students on my caseload are now in regular ed all day and I go in and assist. Sometimes I co teach. My new title is Inclusive Teacher. Anyone else an Inclusive Teacher? What do you think?

I saw this and thought I'd share. What do you say? “Diversity hiring does not mean a lower bar for diverse candidates. They still need to interview and pass the hiring bar. Therefore, diversity hiring is not unfair to other non-diverse applicants."

Quite disappointed that Bain ignored “LGBT” term and instead referred it as “special group” during a Greater China pre-MBA info session, when asked whether Bain has LGBT diversity program. Bain changed its logo into Pride on LinkedIn but can’t recognize LGBT? I know it’s China, but expect Bain to be more supportive across the firm globally.

My company did an analysis of the diversity of our outside counsel based on hours billed and spend. Women billed more than half the hours but were far less than half the spend 😒

Quick vent: I really hate when people aren’t inclusive! I invite my roommate out all the time with my friends and we have a great time. I haven’t received a single invite back. She definitely has more friends than I do in the area so it would help me out a lot to be invited & included to form a friend group. I even tried to invite myself and still no inclusion. Ugh.

I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?

I am currently unemployed but I am very curious about everyone’s company signature having she/her or he/him or they displayed. Are companies forcing people to write the pronouns you need to choose? I honestly never understood why somebody that wasn’t in the LGBTQ community would specify, and I know people are doing it to show support but if I started working again I don’t think I would want to put that in my signature. It seems political. What are your thoughts?
