Anyone know when Senior bonus gets paid out? I know promotion increase goes into effect in October. I'm referring to the one time $4k or whatever
Listening to the comp call. Nishita be like:
My friend said he wished he would’ve pursued SWE. He’s a consultant at Big 4, 3YOE, and has a MPH in Healthcare Mgmt.. What kind of roles/work can he get if he decides to do a swe bootcamp but stay in healthcare? Would his salary increase significantly if he does that?
Can someone please help me with the salary bandwidth for BIE 1 and BIE 2 roles at OLA (Ani technologies pvt ltd)?
Change my mind: PLA leadership does not care about the PLA employees. I have more than 90% utilization for this year and at the end have received a paltry 3.75% comp raise. Where is all the money that the firm made this year going to? I will not be surprised if all the MDs have consumed most of the profits and have left peanuts for the employees. Where is the transparency in the comp numbers that we asked for? We have just received lip service in return to these questions.
What would comp look like at Affirm? Are there any good websites to find out? They are hiring 200 people right now and have a great growth story but I wonder about comp / comp trajectory
Two exit offers on the table: Head of Digital Strategy for Singapore Public Sector company vs. Head Domain Architect for Retail in a T2 Bank. Similar span of control / total comp. Which one to pick?
Anybody have any luck negotiating payback of a sign-on bonus? Like saying I'll pay back $X a month for X number of months instead of one lump sum.
Hi Sharks, I have 7+ year of experience and offer from Capegemini, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Globallogic, Ferns and Pattels and Virtusa which company is better for growth and salary wise for full stack mern stack
Just received a generous bonus and raise that will tip me over the edge for maximum Roth IRA contributions. I’ve been contributing the max for a few years now and contributed at the beginning of 2022. Now I’m realizing I need to take that out but nothing I read online is clear and I don’t want to make a costly tax mistake. Any one able to break it down for me?
FWIW my IRA returns are down this year with the market volatility.
Debating offer from leading Healthcare company, $180K, 20% bonus, $10k signing + reloc. Much better worklife balance (kids at home), great team, in tier2 city, and industry of choice. Thoughts?
My younger brother has the opportunity to do Software Engineering at FAANG and consulting at MBB as a fresh grad. I told him to do SWE, but I’m afraid I’m giving him biased advise cause I’m jaded in this industry. If you were me, what would you advise him?
If you have to payback a sign on bonus, do you have the employer a check for the full pre tax amount or the taxed amount they paid you? If it’s the pretax amount, how do you get the remaining back when you file taxes?
Negotiating comp and hoping to source some advice, 9 yoe most recently pivoting from consulting to a pre IPO tech co. Their starting offer was TC of ~300k, does this sound reasonable or should I be negotiating harder? Finance & strategy role
Going back to PE, 7yrs + JD — principal role — ideas on comp? $300M AUM, running portfolio development... JVs, new geo expansions, strategy, basically growing portcos to optimize the 3-year return profile. Gut feel is $225k base, and annual carry pool grants of another $225k pegged to M2M AUM?
Hi all, I currently work in Dallas, TX at Ryan as a Tax Technology Consultant & was just offered a position at EY as a Tax Tech Senior with total comp being 90k, which is roughly a 50% pay increase and a promotion to a Senior. I only have 1 year & 4 months of experience as I graduated college in may of 2020. I am also 2/4 on the CPA exams thus far - having passed FAR and BEC and just took AUD yesterday. Any thoughts on this offer and the salary for a Senior at EY?
Offer from a startup - I would be their first hire, and they can only offer me 6 months guaranteed salary (trying to raise seed round now) 1YOE at a boutique - should I even consider this?
No etched version available for AMEX Corporate cards. Managed to get my punched version replaced for Delta Amex though.
What % of your (senior) consulting colleagues do you think would be exceptional industry managers/leaders and you’d hire as your COO if you had your own company?
I’m thinking ~2%

Anyone ever done a “digital introduction” through HireVue? I have to do one for Deloitte and it says it’s going to be a few questions that I will answer either by video or short response, 10ish minutes. Just wondering what to expect
Anyone avoided being on a project that is clearly understaffed after looking at the staffing model
Has anybody on the more junior side asked a new firm to move out of state (where the firm has another office with the same comp) for tax purposes? Still working with the same team in the same office in state one, and okay to fly back once a week even if the “two days in office” become a thing…
Price question for you 🐠: because institutions buy BTC off of OTCs hence not affecting the price positively, won’t price be unaffected when/if more institutions and sovereign wealth funds were to buy/adopt huge amounts of BTC? Price increases when BTC purchasing volume goes up on exchanges explicitly, of which these large players won’t ever touch. Anyone have thoughts on this?
Anyone work at area 23? Do you need prior experience working in medical? Is most of it technical or are they looking for big ideas? Saw an opening for oncology ACD cw for example.
I am looking for new opportunities within finance preferably within healthcare but am open to other similar roles. Any job recommendations or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Happy Friday!
Booked JW Marriott Maldives for honeymoon. Any tips and tricks? How to get upgraded? Which experiences to try?
Anyone have a virtual therapist that they would recommend for anxiety? I need to find one that doesn’t tell me to work less or get a new job as neither is possible for me at this time. Thanks.
How to escape from a role you’re “good at” but not using your strengths in? (When the skills you’re currently using are in higher demand than your real strengths)
A warning, i have been phished through the premise of a job interview.thats definitely a new low from scammers but verify interviews they plucked my info from indeed and through that got my info, when I got suspicious (after it was too late) I called the "hiring company" (was a real company) and they said i wasn't the only one getting duped. I can't believe people are praying on people looking for a job during a pandemic but apparently some ppl have no soul. Just wanted to share and be vigilant
Female fishies, I wanna surprise my wife with a fancy purse for V day. I ONLY know Louis Vuitton. Can you gimme recs so I can enjoy my 'V' day too ;)
Budget - up to 2 grand
Is it dumb to take a new role at a lower title but higher total comp? I’m currently an associate product manager at an agency supporting federal clients. I have an exit opportunity as a product analyst at an established healthcare tech company. Current role is about leading a team to build/enhance products. Exit op would be less implementation focused.
Current comp as APM: $83k
Comp for potential new role: $113k
Wife and I keep separate health insurance plans because it just makes more sense. I currently have a HDHP with an HSA I max out. She has a standard health plan. We are having a child next year so debating on what to. Figured continuing as we are is best and adding baby to her plans, but would it make sense for her to switch to an HSA and start maxing that even with a baby on the way ? If we both can max we would but not sure if healthcare expenses will pile up due to baby.
For those of you who have gone from SA to M how much did you go above and beyond? E.g. responding to emails over the weekend or always being ready to jump on something regardless of time of day?
Just wondering what it really takes behind the scenes
New to US. Which brokers offer best margin accounts? For e.g. I have equities worth $100K and want to trade options. Is there a broker where I can do so without paying more in collateral money - essentially using stocks as collateral, and also not paying margin interest. Was able to do so in London, Hong Kong, and India. However, Robinhood here doesn’t seem to allow it.
How much of a pay cut would you take if it meant you could work remotely? I’ve asked a few friend and concluded at 10% maximum.
