Does anyone know what career level is a VP at Wells Fargo? I’m coming in as a support consultant 2 and wondering if that is a VP?

A VP at WF is a manager or less in industry and usually at max SC level in consulting. That's my experience at least. Most banks have inflated titles. Please don't go to WF, they are a mess even now.

Have you worked for a bank ? Ever ? I work for one of the big 5, and I make hiring decisions too. But you can continue to spread misinformation as you feel like it. That is what your first amendment lets you do.

Usually like fax machine coordinators are VPs

I can't speak to WF specifically, but if it follows the lead of other banks in their corporate, non-retail divisions (with the exception of Capital One), VP is analogous to ~SC-M in consulting. I've got a handful of friends in banking at brand name banks and three of them made VP well before 30, one made it at 26. To my knowledge there's no up or out, so you might see someone who's been a VP for decades, but the role itself is a pretty low level role. Banking as an industry has a really weird fixation with title inflation and VP is a very common title across the industry, even discounting retail banking.

I also know folks making "director/SM" salary with VP titles but their functional titles are that of a director/SM. So simply looking at "VP" isn't always going to give you the answer.

Do companies care about someone applying to 2-3 relevant positions within a week or two or applying to several more (~6) positions over the course of a year or so?

I switched two years ago from regional real estate/energy to a local small, but established residential real estate practice. While I’ve gained so much practical experience and run my own book here, I want to shift to a non-traditional remote role in real estate but keep getting turned down. I have strong credentials but I’m worried this small firm experience is killing my marketability to large companies.

In the S&O practice and have not been staffed since mid March. Since then been doing 50-60 hrs a week on BD (I’m a Manager for reference). Utilization was around 100% back in March currently 70%. Great reviews in Lead liked by colleagues etc. However the past few weeks have been quite depressed as I’m worried I’ll be laid off. Took a week off to take a mental break but can’t seem to relax at all (lockdown + lack of childcare isn’t helping) should I start updating my resume?
