Has anyone successfully negotiated extra vacation days when getting an offer? Im happy for the most part with the salary but I am losing 10 vacations days. Health benefits are also not even near as good as my current job.

Looking for some mental health advice - I’ve been dealing with pretty debilitating anxiety/panic attacks for over 5 years. Finally started to get some help for it through medication, however the first 3 meds my PCP prescribed me (ssris) didn’t work. Because I haven’t deal with the anxiety it’s gotten really bad. Do I go to a pyscitatrist whose trained more in pharma or start with therapist. Have done therapy in past without much help.

Industry vets - in your experience how recession proof is insurance? I was not yet in the job market last recession but I watched my mom get laid off and struggle to find employment during that time for the next 1.5 years. I was wanting to hit the job market towards the end of this year, but now I worry that if I do move companies, the recession could put me in position of last one hired first one fired. How do I move from healthcare to consulting?

I often run into a former 6th grade (Health) student in the halls as I move every period to a new location to teach. This year for me has been compounded with the movement and teaching 4 different classes in a 5 period teaching day. This student just makes my day. Smiling and happy to see me and saying hello. Carrying a short discussion an elbow bump and away he goes. A bright ray of sunshine in my day. I choose the positive.... I’m thankful for students brighten my day 🔆

Why are town Hall meetings so impersonal? They are all about awards / the number of people hired. I know FCB health is large, but we never hear from people who aren’t Executives. Last town hall, when discussing inclusion efforts, there were no people of color represented and one of the 4 pillars of diversity was centered around our “reputation as an organization” (that really rubbed me the wrong way). At my last agency those conversations were always led by people of color from every level.
