Does anyone know what it’s like to work at Gartner in their sales role? Culture? Benefits? I’m applying for the sales executive role. I’m doing a career change away from finance. Any info helps!

Working at Gartner is a great opportunity. They are the leader in the space. The money can also be lucrative. Cons- can be bureaucratic, corporate, and process oriented. Some clients don’t love it either. But overall I recommend

I hear really good things about them. They have a reputation for providing wlb and having good culture. I think they offer great benefits as well.

I was just laid off from LexisNexis and before that was at Smartsheet as a Manager in Client Development

Can't say anything but good things about my experience in Gartner. I owe my skills and my experience to them. I've learned a lot from my mentors and co-workers. The management are so supportive of their employees especially in career advancement.

Worked there a few years ago in customer success. Sales culture seemed really good from the outside looking in. AVPS, RVPS and MVPs were great partners to customer success and had buy-in in the partnership. Travel to conferences that gartner hosts and to clients. Health and medical Benefits at gartner were better than what I currently have. Granted this was 3-4 years ago and things change. Overall, like anywhere direct manager is going to have most impact on employee experience and overall day to day culture

If you have access to Sales Navigator, use the "Past Company" filter to find folks who used to work there, or at least are connected to people you know.

I’ve interviewed with them a few times, but never pulled the trigger because I felt that some of the roles were very junior.

Same with O1. But I didn't push through due to personal reasons. I know the culture and WLB there are great and that was the primary reason why I applied there.

What are peoples thoughts on two different career paths within public accounting. One is the typical longer hours like 55 hours or more during busy season and the other one is 40 hours a week all year long with a reduced salary, almost like a reduced schedule employee. The reduced hour career path allows you to enjoy whatever you enjoy about public without the long hours but your career progression will be similar to industry and the other path is pretty much what it is now. Thoughts?

January, I got a promotion to store manager of a Metro by T-Mobile. The job however came with a mandatory 60hrs/6 day work week. And salary at $1,000 a week. There are no benefits, PTO, or even holiday pay. I get a commission on my sales with how things are now a days, it's like an extra $400 a month. I'm not really happy, and am having doubts about staying here. Is this a good salary? At $16.6/hr i feel as it's not.
