Does anyone know what the dress code is for the upcoming CAALA Trial Skills seminar? Do people usually wear suits or is it business casual? Thank you!

I wrote a suit to a cle once early in my career. I stood out. That said a trial skills thing might be different. Now when I present at CLEs I generally go jacket no tie

What does the Investor Relations career path look like for someone coming in at an early-ish level? I’ve heard it’s kind of dead-end and doesn’t really teach you any hard skills but pretty easy, especially if you can produce a decent track record of fundraising. Also, I’ve heard comp is ok and typically lower than consulting (and WAY lower than the investment teams…) and mostly concentrated among the top dogs. Accurate? Anyone know people who took this path?

Would you go work for a private company that offers a lot of growth opportunities, high salary and 40-45 hour work weeks, but doesn’t allow WFH and is pretty strict on the 8-5?

I have an interview for a PM role at Slalom with HR. Has anyone gone through this recently? Any tips/recommendations?

Are you required to come into your building? I'm teaching vitrtually, but 2 days a week I'm required to come into my classroom.

Anyone at ATL Sky Club?

Starting full time at McKinsey in November. Curious to know what it’s like for fellow gender non-conforming folk, as well as non-binary and trans folks at the firm (or as consultants in general!) Are there any trans/non binary people at your firm/office location, regardless of your firm? Just trying to gauge what kind of world I’m stepping into.

Really sad knowing that it will be hard to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas this year due to COVID19...

I’m an incoming AC1 at Bain and I have spent the summer studying a bit for the GMAT since we had a stipend. I took it with no practice and received a 640. After studying on an off for a couple of months I received a 690. I’m likely going to cancel the score since I realize it isn’t enough for M7. To provide some more insight on my profile. I graduated undergrad from UofM BBA Magna Cum Laude, have interned in Big 4 consulting, IB, and VC, and I’m an Asian-American. What should I do?

I have a second round of interview (meeting partners) at Davis Wright Tremaine this week? Any tips will greatly be appreciated.

Is there a prestige gap between the big 4 and ACN that is big enough to be worth taking a detour to the big four before exiting consulting? Depending on your perspective you might not see acn as less prestigious than say ey/pwc/kpmg but curious what people think the general perception is. (Not talking about strategy& or Parthenon)

I am overwhelmed with the current state of affairs over the last six mos and six weeks. From COVID and making sure my team feels ‘ok’, to the elevation of BLM due to the long overlooked atrocities, my building my destroyed by riots and looters and then boarded up, LGBTQ focusing on the negative history instead of the pride that I so dearly love, Brands pulling out of FB (when hate is so clearly more pervasive than just on FB)...I don’t want anything swept under the rug - I am craving happiness

Hi All, Which designation should be offered in EY GDS for 8+ years in SAP? What range of salary can we expect as per current market?

Any day traders in this bowl? Could you share your experience, I’d like to start learning part time and eventually exit to it full time

Interview this Tuesday. Need to take Whole day off. Was already actually sick last week, what last minute excuse do I use?

Multiple vacancies for CA/CPA/ACCA (0 to 15 years experience) across various locations in EY GDS. If interested send your CV at - manalrehtal1986@gmail.com Like, comment, share and spread the word to those in need ! #cafreshers #charteredaccountants #eygds #manager #statutoryaudit #assurance #panindia

Would you move from EY to Reference Point? Total comp is higher at RP and I’d be able to move up to manager there…but not sure if it’s worth moving away from Big4.

Anyone here get LASIK surgery? Was it worth it? How much did insurance cover vs. total cost? How effective would you say it is on a scale of 1-10? Please share as much detail, I’m so tired of glasses and I hate contacts.
