I signed a contract with Microsoft recently .just found out from Quora, that they don’t give a good yearly pay rise. Can anyone tell me what the lowest pay rise % for Microsoft would be ? Also would it be hard to move teams (I want to move from a tech support role to software engineer role say 2 years down the line).

So I recently got an offer from Deloitte for an Audit associate for $69K with no sign on bonus. Is this the standard rate? I feel like this is irregular since tax consultants get paid $72k starting. I feel like they are trying to undersell me since I'm transferring from a different service line ( tax). Regardless of that I have 2 internships worth of audit experience previously and will get my CPA on time . I know that big4 doesn't negotiate but should I ask for more? And if so, how?

Any M&A lawyers find that changing the kind of industry of clients they work with or going in house helps make the job more interesting? Rising fourth year and mostly doing private m&a (commodities) and have zero interest and it makes the job really painful. But I liked working in house before and so I wonder if it’s just the industry of the work that makes it hard for me, or am I just not cut out for the law. But seems like M&A everywhere is just anything goes industries.

I have accepted an offer for BA3 band for 10 LPA (46% hike). Is this a good offer or was I low balled ? Wanted to know as this is my first switch so I cannot judge if this is a good offer or not.
I had communicated my expected salary of 11 LPA (fixed) during negotiations for which HR said she would have to ask the concerned team. I then said that I am willing to negotiate and was offered 10. Was this wise or should I have waited ?

How do I negotiate back to hourly with a fair rate when I already feel like they are refusing to pay for a promotion given in June?

In May the owner moved me to salary (at bare non exempt minimum rate). In June they promoted me to Level II Team lead and instituted On Call rotation which indicated we had expectations of 930a-930pm to take calls with no additional increase.

Now they want us to take calls any time of the night.

I want to decline these add'l responsibilities that keep changing.

I’m interviewing for a full-time contractor role and I’m trying to determine an appropriate pay range. To make it easy, let’s just assume a market salary for a FTE would be $100,000 annually. How much of a premium should be added given that it’s a contract role? In addition to having to pay an extra 15.3% taxes, I’d be missing out on the company benefits (they offer full time employees: equity, computers, insurance, 4 weeks holiday, and money towards learning/development…and no 401k).

Recently ( as of May 22nd, 2022) I was told my promotion was put in as a “request”.

After a brief discussion with the HR Director; I was told that said promotion could easily be put off until October…

There’s a seriously lack of role clarity; I’m consistently being tasked to do things that outside of my immediate skill set/job description.

Let me be clear; I have no problem with this, however when the pay doesn’t match…This leaves me feeling burned out most days.

In spite of stellar performance, my request to reprice my role was denied. They're $20k off on base salary for market, our asset size, and experience but say they’re on target. I found out that one of my new hires, who has half my experience and 1/4 of my responsibility is earning just 4k less than I am. They justify this with the 10k bonus I receive. My job reports to the board and is critical at the juncture we’re at as a company. They rave about me but can't pay fairly, and they won't budge.
