Hmmm woulda thought we would be better at this by now. Goldman Sachs gives UK based employees 6 months paid parental leave regardless of mum/dad...

2 weeks only for paternity leave. Having said that Accenture’s SPL policy os one of the best in the market and works well for the dads

Sad. Many great firms (think Big Tech) are opting gender neutral policies including the birth of a child.

My one month old has horrible painful gas. When I spoke to our pediatrician he recommended that I space out his breast-feeding schedule to help with the gas. It really hasn’t done much and his gas is still pretty bad to the point of him crying screaming and he can’t sleep on his back I literally have to sleep with him on my chest in order for him to sleep. any tips on how to help relieve the gas

Ladies, I had a breakthrough with my boyfriend and I am so proud. I have encouraged him to go to therapy for years. He grew up with a father who is emotionally abusive. He felt like he didn’t need to go because he could just “handle it” (part of the toxic culture he was raised in) so I stopped pushing. Yesterday he told me he was going to therapy to try it out, I said okay, and made him a coffee to go. He came home, hugged me, cried, and read me a list of things he was working on. 🥺💛

I’ve been asked to weigh in on how to improve my firms parental leave policy. It’s currently 8 weeks paid for birth parent with an extra week for each year at the firm (up to 12 weeks total) and 2 weeks paid for non-birth parent. I’m in a major city, firm is a boutique that has been around a very long time. What would you suggest? Any studies or research you’ve seen recently on trends in parental leave policies also helpful. I’d like to have some sort of data to back up what I recommend. TIA!

Family trying to group text all day long about holidays, friends wanting to buy flights for trips, figuring out groceries and personal errands, time with my husband. Im usually a list/planner person but even that is stressing me out. How do others handle these phases of work? I know it’s temporary but still 😵‍💫
