It depends what type of engineer. What are you looking for? Industrial Engineer, Avionics? Software Engineer? Specifics would be good, and the location as well. Not all areas are equal in pay.

Anyone looking for a BM staff or freelance? I’ve never worked as one so if you only wanted to hire me Jr level I’d still consider it. My former shop’s recruiter’s didn’t really have a good sense of what BA does so I’m hesitant to reach recruiters. Ideas?

I work at a privately insured addiction treatment facility. My hourly wage is $20/hr. I wanted to move up in position with this company but they already had someone in that position currently. I went to them with a solution that would resolve a couple issues within the current staff and put me into a higher position/supervisor role. They agreed that having me in this role would solve the issues and also that I would be able to handle the responsibility that comes with it. They only gave me $2/hr

Over 20 plus years with this company my base pay has gone up every couple of years. The biggest growth in my salary has come as a "Bonus pd 1x/yr" which now is over 50% of my cash compensation. Base plus bonus plus benefits is on the Lower half of my industry Salary Value from talking to industry colleagues.

I may have an opportunity for a new position with another company starting around the first of the new year. My concern is that the "bonus" is not paid until March. What to do?

I interviewed at Uber for a sales representative/sales executive role. When I initially asked for the budget for the role, I feel like the recruiter started me out with a lower base (sales rep) prior to knowing my experience (I’ve been in sales for 7+ years). Since then, I’ve received very positive feedback and even moved on to the third and final interview. How should I go about asking about the salary range without seeming too pushy? Should I just wait for an offer and negotiate from there? Uber

How much should I expect as a salary for a Sr Associate Advisory at a big 4 (in US) in consulting?

Which strategy is better?

#1 - The first tactic I learned for salary negotiation is to give them a # and act like you will walk away if it's not met. I forget the details, but something like even if they give you a lower #, you still stick to your #.

#2 - You can also give them a # and they may come back with a lower # and you can take it or leave it.

#3 - A new coach told me about giving a range. He said if you give them a #, they may flat out say no.

Can't they say no to any of these?

I was told by a company via email prior to the final interview, “that the maximum salary for this opportunity is $90k plus 10% bonus.” Does this mean that I should expect no more than the previously stated or expect to be offered the previously stated?
