Hey Fishbowlers! Need advice: my boss had asked me a few weeks ago to look at a new job description for a recently created role, Technical Writer. Fast forward, now the job is being posted and he would like me to apply. I’ve recently discovered an interest in UX Design and taking courses to learn more. Would taking a technical writer position be way too off base? I’m a Business Analyst with 4 years experience and want a career change but still figuring out my career goals.

What are some good non-work related topics to talk about with PPEDs? Mostly to avoid awkward silences in a Uber or at the airport.

I can see a non solicitation clause in my current employer's offer letter than I can't join client within 12 months of my termination.
