I used to. Great grocery store selection. Good restaurants too. Fairly accessible. Just try to get home before 9pm because night trains in that direction could be unpredictable and leave you stranded. That was before covid though. Corona Park is great for walking, picnic, biking... There's boating in the summer.
I lived there for a few years. Really nice size apts for your money.
Horrendous parking. I used to spend up 45 minutes looking for a spot, so I recommend not having a car there.
Lots of transit options- near LIRR, subway and express bus into city.
Have to travel elsewhere for nightlife.
South side of Queens Blvd is great. North side is “meh”. But still super accessible to some great restaurants & grocery shops, public transport options. Better for couples/families (pretty quiet, great schools and playgrounds) - not much of a singles scene. As someone already mentioned, parking is horrible. FH Gardens is beautiful for strolling (was very helpful during the start/peak of Pandemic days).
I grew up in Forest Hills and loved it. It was a great mix between city and town. As a single person, before the pandemic, it felt a little far outside of the city for being out at night on a regular basis. Now I have been considering apartments there in order to have more space.
I live on the south side of Queens blvd in Forest hills and love it.
I lived on Qns Blvd & 77th Ave for 10 years. Only moved bc we had 3 kids in a 2 bedroom. LOVED it there. But this was decades ago. Took 7 years before a parking spot opened up in our bldg. lots of restaurants, and easy access to NYC.
