Work life balance totally depends on country. Only thing virtually certain is you’ll be paid a lot less to do it.
I do but it's hard to compare since I've never worked in the US. You would need to ask someone who's worked in the US and elsewhere, but even then it's a very broad question for an individual to answer...
I've worked in the US and Australia and it depends on your team. In general, audit busy season hours seem more bearable in Australia.

Gonna go out on a limb and say that while there are cultural differences on work life balance, it could just as easily come down to the specific company/team you're working with.
If you say Europe then WLB is better but pay is lower. If you say other countries than Europe (or Canada/Australia/NZ) then low pay and same hours.
Better….Hours? Money? Culture? Perks? RTO?
