If you want principal protection I would look at a fixed indexed annuity with no fee and uncapped growth. My experience has been that VAs are usually expensive and provide very little principal protection and if you found one with no surrender charge what is the trade off? They are not giving you the best of both worlds. Credit protection and tax deferral are also probably bigger benefits they may not realize they can also get with an annuity. Great for doctors.

On vas for this scenario, I would look at a buffered VA a la Brighthouse shield but there are others. No fees, great upside, high level of protection. My experience is that if a business entity buys an annuity, they lose tax deferral. Like others said with most va’s fees can get high and I cannot think of many others that would offer the type of principal protection it sounds like you are looking for.

So will it be owned by doctor or business- I believe a non natural owner does not have tax deferral which is one of main benefits of annuity -

I’m looking for other ideas now, though.

New heights via nationwide isn’t too bad of a product.

The problem is they will need the money in 3 to 5 and will incur irs penalty. None are even close to 59 1/2.

EY leadership has no boundaries. My husband is working in a project where they are in critical phase of testing and delivery of the system. His leadership calls him at 6am in the morning for status updates when they know for sure that he was up till 2/3 am working. I am asking him to put foot down but it seems he is the only one with the required knowledge. Venting ends. Thanks for hearing me out.

Hi guys, I am due to start working at EY soon within audit. I will be commuting to the office by train when in the Birmingham office. This will be from Leicester. Usually if a commute is about 1.5 hours+, Mazars authorises hotels. Is there a similar policy at EY? When not in the office I would prefer to drive to clients, not sure if me being in Leicester affects whether they will tell me to suck up an extended commute? Would a mileage claim be from the office to the client? Thanks!

Moved client side after years at agencies and damn it’s as good as you hear it is (so far). So. Many. More. Women.

I’ve seen a lot of posts on twitter that have a ton of rts blaming the police for criminalizing homelessness and drug addiction instead of fixing the problem...so basically the police are now the scapegoats for elected officials and prosecutors? Police brutality is on police, but blaming the police for the penal code and how much it’s enforced seems like a bs way for politicians and attorneys/judges to ignore their role and blame police for following their orders. We gotta own up to our part.
