Does anyone sometimes just want to shake their clients??? It's not my fault you decided to have kids with an asshole, please don't scream at me when you can't kick them out of your life because they're mean to you.

Yes. Often. It is the family law way. I heard a wise attorney tell her client “I can’t fix personality disorders.” I have adopted that as a useful response when clients keep asking me why their spouse is acting a certain way, and demanding that I fix it.
Also, I like to repeat in my head “tens don’t marry ones.” It helps me keep perspective.

I have one client that doesn't want to go to trial, doesn't want to spend money, wants child support until the kids are 25, second guesses everything while not understanding procedural requirements such as notice, spent $300 on a pension valuation (which is the only real issue in the matter), but doesn't want it disclosed unless the soon to be ex pays her back for half of it.... so she'd rather pay my hourly rate for a pretrial conference than disclose the valuation.

Jesus, the number of clients I have who don't want to go to trial but do want me to get them some ridiculously great deal...with what leverage, SIR?

One time I was SO wasted at my now exes family’s big xmas party... when it was over everyone went to bed or home, I had to pee so bad but I was too drunk to remember where the bathroom is so I opened a door and it had a small space inside and I just went in the dark

The next morning it turns out that someone peed in the closet inside of his mom’s purse where she had her now damaged passport and documents. She was furious and the family was shocked, I had no idea how to tell them so I didn’t...

Perspective check:

I'm an SA, and my fiance is finishing up her residency and loves the medical field. I make good money and have a house but I feel like the relationship and the obligations (house, family) are anchors and holding me back from living my life. I want to sell and live on the road, traveling and being free.

I love my fiance and my family but I just want to quit everything and just hit the road.

Am I being dumb?

I ate one biscuit out of a big packet that belonged to my roommate and he said things like “it’s so tough to get these biscuits” etc. The thing is that I would have never said that to him. I’ve told him that as long as it’s in the kitchen, don’t ask me before eating. He also constantly keeps asking me to switch off the kitchen and bedroom lights. Is my being annoying justified?

My boss the general manager is setting me up at work. She is saying all this stuff about me that is not true at all. But when I come into her shift or come into my shift after hers nothing is done for me. A lot of the prep is not done. And she complains about me not doing the prep. Stuff Is still dirty. One day she left the grill on. Etc. There was another manager there training to run another store and she said I basically do a lot of the work while she doesn't do much. So she stood up for me.

Looking for comfort & positivity! It’s my first week at a new job and I made what I think is a huge mistake. I was wondering if I should sync my work email to my team’s project management tool. I asked IT who told me that’s not an approved tool and why am I using it. My manager took the fire for it and is taking lead on clearing it out. My manager told me that next time, just ask our team before any other department. I apologized, said I def will, & thanked them for taking lead. Anything else?
