Get enough rest.

I do. I try everything. I take tins of vitamins. I also take a product called Fitteam which has helped my energy and mood. I have found I am not so tired, but I also switched positions. It is tough. Oh, I also drink coffee!

I guess I should also add that I still have three children at home. Some days I just have to stay in bed because I am just not able to function. However, things are way better for me energy-wise this year.

Getting enough rest, taking my meds, and cutting out as much as possible unnecessary stress or stressors, positive self talk, prayer.
For me, prayer and the love of my dog are the real reasons I manage to get up because this health journey is no cake walk.

2nd Cousin has a Mexican boyfriend of 4 months and is 3 months pregnant - did not have conversations with her mother or her sister, close cousins before going forward. She’s feeling the lash back of a mother who’s looking to influence her decision and get an abortion before she starts this life. There are definitely some red flags with the guy with his income and that he doesn’t speak English, curious what others would do - what would your parents say? Mine would flip!

Due in 2 weeks with baby number two, husband just tested positive for Covid 😩 He’s been around me and our 2 year old the past 2 days, getting PCRs for me and my LO tomorrow. Freaking out is an understatement. We had our first in May 2020 and never thought we’d still be going through this 2 years later. Anyone know anyone whose delivered or had a c section with Covid? Looking for some encouragement everything will work out okay. This is crazily the first time we’ve had it!

My first therapy appointment tomorrow! I’ve never dealt with depression before having my second kid and my PPD was/is rough! Filling out the intake form I basically had to list out all the things I’ve dealt with - rape, mom issues, death in family during pandemic, kid hit by car, ppd, and a slew of over things… looking forward to working through these things over time, whatever that might look like.

Tell me if this is selfish or not. I adore my family, but since they're doing a very lowkey Christmas situation this year, I really would rather take a weeks vacation on my own. Obviously the holidays are about spending time with those you love, but I'm tired! And I see my entire family at least once a month for a group dinner. Am I a bad daughter/sister if I choose vacation this one time?

I had a miscarriage on Tuesday, my first. I didn’t even know I was pregnant. The Dr. was just as baffled by the timing, but here I am. My head is trying to be practical, but my hormones are raging. I feel like a stranger in my own body. How do women do this and work at the same time? I’m a freelancer, I’m so busy at work, I don’t feel comfortable talking to my coworkers about this. I’m trying to just get through the week but am really struggling.

I can’t go back to chain retail - it damn near broke me in my 20’s, and it’s much worse now.

For those who already have a baby - I (36f) just had a baby 6 weeks ago, and my wife (33F) is now back at work (WFH) and I’m still on leave. Since I have the baby all day and get up with her all night, my wife basically “takes over” baby duty when she stops working. The problem is that within an HOUR she has lost all patience with the baby. She gets frustrated so quickly if the baby is crying and will say things like “I’m just going to let her cry since nothing im doing helps” (cont)

Question for the Biglaw Bowl: How common is it to take a pay cut when being promoted from associate to income partner? I had heard about this happening at some lower ranked V100 firms. I’m dating someone new and it is going very well. He is kind, not high strung, with great values and shares my sense of humor. It is so easy and natural to spend multiple days with him.
Still I am having doubts because I think he isn’t very “intellectual”. To be clear, he’s intelligent! He is a great STEM role that requires an advanced degree. We share a love of reading as well. However he is not really interested in world affairs, does not follow the news closely, does not have a strong grasp

Hello Fishes,
I am much stressed.. it’s only been 5 months to join Capgemini. I joined in as cyber security consultant with good package.
However, the work I do the tricks, logics and solutions I share with team to apply in the project… all are of no use when discussed with the architect guy. The whole team rely upon the wordings/solutions suggested by him only. It feels like my skill/knowledge and experience is of no use.
I feel like what am I doing here….? Any suggestions please.
