We have LiveSchool and Pride Points.

I used to, my kids earned "School Bucks" to shop in our classroom store on Fridays. It worked out at least for the first few weeks.

I used a system like that when in middle school. I "paid" my students $5 Huffer bucks each week. If they had to borrow a pencil, paper, didn't turn in homework etc it cost them a dollar. At the end of each 9 weeks they could spend their bucks. I had little items like pencils, erasers, note pads. I also offer homework passes, computer time, reading or drawing time. It worked really well.

They could use classroom bucks they earn or have a drawing on Friday and win a prize for more random chance so the same kids don’t get something week after week.

We use paw bucks and the children use them at the school store once a month. We are a PBIS school.

When I worked at a charter school, the administrators also taught at least 1 course in addition to administrative duties. It really made them aware of what teachers were facing in the classroom. I don't think this is common. Do you think it's a good idea?

Ok…I’m curious. I pretty much have to beg, barter and steal to get supplies for my classroom. Do teachers in states with legal cannabis have this problem? It’s my understanding that sales tax from its purchase goes to schools, or is that all smoke and mirrors…No pun intended. 😉

At SA level, new mom here. On a project where had a male manager extremely supportive he is rolling off. Female manager known to not be flexible is coming onboard. She did not even acknowledge...

Ex-Accenture (doing internal PM analyst work, laid off due to COVID but great relationships there/eligible for rehire), have two offers - just started as market research analyst in the marketing team in pharma biz market access or a new offer as a PM at data SaaS. I want to get back into generalist management project-based consulting, maybe even at Accenture. What would be better?

If [said company] asks to put you "on hold" for the month of December...but you found a better offer, do you: -have to follow through with said gig -communicate this with them if they haven't followed up yet (but added you to new slack channels) (asking because I no longer wish to work with them) Thanks for the advice.

I am at a point in my job search (2+ years, laid off 5 months before COVID) where I’m really starting to think the career I have chosen doesn’t want me back. I worked in HR previously, and I have no idea where or how to start figuring out a new career path. I’m stable money-wise for now. But with the student loan repayments coming active again soon, the money situation will get tighter.Any advice on changing careers after 40? Much appreciated!

As per the trend in Current "Great Resignation" even big MNCs are facing offer rejections and it is very hard to onboard IT employees because everyone has multiple offers, Only those companies have some advantage who supported employees well in Covid period. Employees were in fear of job lost, and maximum IT organization's took benefit of this fear, now they are only facing maximum offer rejections.

If all the top consulting firms made anonymous decks or gave anonymous pitches to a client, eg no branding and the client did not know which firm made which deck, do you actually think that the client would prefer MBB? Is MBB actually coming up with better/more innovative solutions? I feel like I see many repeat or slightly altered solutions on almost all of my cases, are these really things that people at Deloitte/Accenture etc aren’t coming up with?

Last year, My girlfriend was making 80k while I was making 200k so I took her out to dinners and took care of the groceries etc. Basically made sure it’s an equitable relationship. She got a new job this year and is now making 210k (more than me) but still expects me to pay for all the dinners and groceries. I’ve already talked to her about this but just resulted in argument. Is there any coming back from this situation to make this equitable relationship or is break up the only option here?

Part of me hopes that we have another lockdown as a result of the Omicron variant. So many lives have been lost, the virus has undoubtedly caused mental duress across the globe, and I’m fortunate to be in a position where a lockdown wouldn’t impact me as much as it would others (which I obviously acknowledge), but life truly slowed down and subconsciously there was a sense of comfort knowing I could take the time to work on myself without missing out on anything happening on the outside.

My MIL has made remarks to my husband that she doesn’t understand why we need a nanny for our infant since I am able to WFH (I’m a biglaw associate). She also doesn’t get why we have a cleaner and dog walker and seems to imply we’re wasting our money by outsourcing funds on things we can do. She was a SAHM so I guess I understand why she feels that way, but how do I explain to her why these things are necessary? I actually love my MIL but this is driving me nuts.
