I’ve been exposed to a couple times, not hands on experience though. From my POV there’s more cons than pros. Most people complain about how non user friendly it is. Most features aren’t automated
Yes I just used it in my previous role. I was the only data analyst at a small company and it was actually great because it was as very intuitive and user friendly.
It’s super easy to pick up because you don’t need much prior experience except (very) little SQL. We transitioned our company off of using spreadsheets to use this instead. It’s great for getting up and running fast , but a downside would be not a ton of custom-ability.
Thanks for the responses! For context, we just started using it about 6 months ago, at first we thought it was going to be the next best thing for our reporting flow. But, we are now running into tons of issue that for some reason DOMO has never thought to add into the platform.
It’s a perfectly serviceable platform, but it’s curious they didn’t get scooped up like datorama or tableau or looker. I think it’s a tough call to go domo when you could go low cost data studio, automated but kinda plain datorama , or pretty but finicky tableau. I think if you’re already set up on domo, there might not be a reason to change, but I think there’s tough completion for them.
So before we used data studio and ultimately got to the limits of it with a data warehouse that wasn’t properly set up before my arrival causing us to move to domo. I think the current plan once our contract is up is to move back to data studio with a properly set up data warehouse.
