Prosecutor here considering career shift. I’m a first year DA making $87k in CA and have very good work/life balance + benefits. I failed CFA level 3 once.

I'm hoping to eventually do CAIA, but only after I'm done with CFA. I'm also hoping to do non-financial certifications, like Certified analytics professional (CAP), and learn about web development.

While I may have the title of manager, I am still an individual contributor. The type of work I do involves quantitative analysis/data analysis/science.

I work in Canada for a US based organization that hired me through their Canadian affiliate. 99% of my work relates to the US. I have absolutely no need to go to the Canadian office. I am paid in Canadian dollars at about 30 to 40% less than what my American counterparts are paid, and that is without taking into consideration the exchange rate. 9 months, 1,000+ applications, dozens of interviews, and 5 final rounds with no offers later I FINALLY have an offer at a dream exit. Getting a 50% increase and doing meaningful work. I cannot begin to explain how amazing this feeling is and how every denial, struggle, hour spent preparing for interviews and networking was all worth it. Unbelievable

What companies (other than Amazon) hire non-technical PMs?
