Hey Googlers, I’m going in for my GCP TAM second round on Monday and had a few QQs for you all:
1. For the RRK2 case study if there is a scenario for handling peak time workloads where the client did a lift & shift of a monolithic architecture, is the best suggestion to move them to micro services to enable serverless and auto scaling features?
2. I was told that they’ll give me 15 mins to prep after the case study is shared live, would you suggest I build a 1 pager or is that not required?Google

Not old school at all. What you’re doing is the smart and safest option (which I also do). I’ve never understood why so many people put their two weeks in before they clear the background check. It’s like buying a house without knowing if you have a job
Why don't you know if you have a job? You accepted an offer.
I had quit before my final round of interviews once when I was super overconfident.
Long story short, I failed. Had to withdraw my resignation and my boss was nice enough to accept me back.
I think I’ll wait…has anyone given their 2 weeks on a Monday and left at the end of the following week on a Friday? For me, 2 weeks = 10 working days in advance
I did at my last job and it was fine. There’s really no difference between Friday afternoon and Monday morning.
I do agree that you should play it safe and not do anything that would endanger your employment, but I've seen threads like this before and it has me thinking...
If I were to accept a new offer and start the background check process with the new place, I'd have no issue providing notice to my current employer before the check "cleared." Am I naive? What can go wrong? I've got 9 YOE across two jobs. I resigned from my first job at Accenture in a very amicable and professional way to move to my current firm, maintaining my friendships and networks from Accenture. I have solid credit, no arrest record and got my degree from UConn. All of this is easily verifiable I would guess. I'd like to hear why people are fearful of the background check and hold off giving notice.

I quit before my cleared! Was sweating for a few days but was fine in the end.
