I want to do an MBA in the next 2 years. I’m currently up for Senior consultant promotion but I don’t think I can make good money in consulting till I become Partner. My boyfriend isn’t supportive of this decision. He believes it will alter our plans (marriage, children etc). He also thinks immigration will be a big hassle since I’ve already used my 3 years of OPT. What should I do?

What is the true reason to get your masters in CS? I am a Java developer at Deloitte and I have my bachelors in CS and I wanted to know why would it be beneficial to get my masters when I can just get years of experience and certs to show my value as a developer. Anything to get some clarity of why to get a masters would be truly grateful.

I’m a LCSW, have been working in mental health for 10 years, and have a job that enables HRSA to pay off my student loans. I really want to go back to medical school to be a psychiatrist. I’d like to pay my student loans off before taking on more debt but worry I will be way too old to go back since I already feel way too old at 38 to do it. Has anyone over the age of 35 gone back to med school? What were your challenges? Was it worth it?

We had 300 years of slavery, 100 years of Jim Crow, and 50 years of mass incarceration. The original US Constitution said that black people were 3/5ths of human beings. I just don't see how someone can claim that racism isn't a serious historical issue in the US. It's not like all that bad history just magically went away one day.
