Currently a Marketing & Comms Manager at a company I’ve been with for 6 months. I’ve completely transformed their processes and the work is showing on social and internally. People are noticing. Now my former employer where I worked for 10 years casually asked me to do contract work for them. I make $130k at my current salaried job. With my experience into consideration, what’s a good rate to charge if officially offered the freelance work as well?

I received a message on LinkedIn from an internal recruiter at a company that sounded intriguing. Would it be bad form to ask for more information about the role and about comp up front? I wasn’t looking to leave my firm until later next year at the earliest, but the company sounds really interesting. Don’t want to waste a lot of time if the comp isn’t right, though.

I’m alone and living in a city where I don’t know anyone, so I’m alone all the time and don’t talk to anyone face to face... I facetime friends and family (9 hr time diff), but I think the isolation and lack of live human contact and interaction is really getting to me. How important Is business school in life science careers?

Thinking of applying to BCG, but what I want to know is how much life science work one can truly do at BCG (%-wise and what kind - e.g., TA strategy, P&MA, due diligence), and is the WLB worse (this might be a no brainer but I’m genuinely curious if anyone can speak to how it compares to ClearView). Hey folks, I want to exit into industry by year end, and ideally I’d like to target associate director or SM roles at biopharma (thinking corp strategy, Portfolio planning, BD&L). I have roughly 2 YOE with a PhD. A large proportion of the companies I am interested in (cell and gene tx) are based in Boston, but I’m wondering how the opportunities are in New York, since I might be moving there to be closer to my S/O. Will I have more or less options, and will remote options be here to stay?

ZS 🐠 - I have 3 YOE in LS consulting, currently a C and was up for SC this year but promos were rejected across my entire group. Looking at some roles at ZS and curious what level would be reasonable for me to “lateral” to given I’m performing as an SC but my job title is still C 😒. Bonus points if you have insights into the value & access group (WLB, comp, projects, hate your peers, etc.). Thanks!
