Not exactly an answer, but I work with a lot of them and ooooh boy are they bottom of the barrel. The only good ones I have ever met have left for elsewhere.
Oof Booz 1, that response seemed bottom of the barrel to me
Peraton was an excellent company, now a very good company with pockets of excellence. C-suite and corp functions are excellent and legacy Peraton folks are excellent. C-Suite is probably the best in the industry in fact.
The people they brought in from their Northrop acquisition are excellent. The folks from the Perspecta acquisition are a mixed bag. As a rule, good staff, bad leaders. I won’t say more than that but you can read the Glassdoor reviews on Perspecta. If I were considering a role there I’d figure out where my direct supervisor came from.
I expect Peraton will (if it hasn’t already) return to uniform excellence across the board however. Compared to the rest of the industry I’d put it in the top 3 to work for. Lots of opportunities for growth and if they were public I’d be buying their stock.
They’ve been growing fast through acquisitions and mergers. I’m sure there are plenty of pros and cons to that, but your experience will probably depend on how much your leadership will protect you from the administrative BS that may come your way as the company continues to reorganize. It’s the same way anywhere basically.
I worked for Peraton as a subcontractor in the past. There has been tons of churn at Peraton, which has had an impact on corporate culture. The Peraton consultants I worked with are still dear friends. I am sure the churn will settle. The consultants at Peraton are top notch. The only two negatives are as follows: 1. The executives are concerned about under-utilization statistics. 2. Salaries and packages for Peraton employees are not generally competitive when compared with other vendors
I hear really good things about them. They have a reputation for providing wlb and having good culture. I think they offer great benefits as well.
