Hi all, I have 4 YOE and got a verbal offer for a Contracts Analyst role at Meta (L4). Glassdoor and Levels seem all over the place for business/contracts analyst salaries. Has anyone successfully transitioned out of public sector and into private? I’m finding it rather hard without having business experience and I don’t think employers are as interested in my public sector background as I thought.

Mid level has an assignment for month plus. Asks for some help, which I send on time. Weeks go by. Mid level gives me the assignment last minute, (sort of -says we’ll collaborate and then basically ghosts) and I have to send what is arguably bad work product to the partner bc of time constraints, which arguably should never have been an issue had the ML done their job. When I receive the inevitable feedback that the work product isn’t up to snuff, do I tell the partner what happened?

So, I started watching “Limitless” with Chris Hemsworth. Apparently, he found out he carries both genes for dementia which puts him at a higher risk. So the series is about him changing things in his life for longevity. The third episode is about fasting and he fasts for 4 days until the day he has to hunt for his food. Hey nurses, did you become a CNA first? Or go straight into a nursing program? My cousin wants to become a nurse and, I'm going to be totally frank here, I don't think he can hack it. I recommended that he maybe do his CNA first to get a taste for it, but he's insisting he's prepared to nursing. Part of me is worried because a lottttt of people in my cohort in school were regularly partying and doing hard subs (was this the same for others??), and my cousin is susceptible to peer pressure.

This past year has been terrible w/ jobs & have had about 5 some contracted some just so awful the stories would blow your hair back & I had to walk out. Finally, I decided to take a telemetry inpatient nurse job & I’ve been there a month & just got another job back in ambulatory. Can some one please give me advice of what I should do.
