Hi all - I’m currently in GBO sales and got an offer for a role in the GBO company plan. I’ll be the same level (5) and location (NYC) but my total compensation will be $20k lower with the company plan. Is this common? Has anyone been able to negotiate comp when switching teams within Google?

Any idea regarding IB in Dubai? Is it worth going there for associate roles?

I had a really weird interview for Creative Director today.

It’s a small startup. HR interviewed me and asked all the hard hitting questions (how do you get design inspiration, how do you deal with design roadblocks, what sets you apart for this role?) which I thought was odd for a screening interview.

They made some affirmative noises then said the next step would be a design test (one pager) which I would present to a panel of interviewers including the CMO.
Anyone else think this is odd?

Just got a job at an agency in Brazil after living in The US.
Projects here have a deadline of 1 or 2 days while the same project in the US I had 2 weeks.

What’s the easiest way to save all the Google slides I’ve created (as an Art Director) when I leave an agency? It’s so tedious sharing with your personal Gmail account (to give yourself access) then saving a copy. Is there a quicker way? So I have a case study interview coming up with a consultancy.

I have received the task 2 days before the interview which says I have to only spend 25mins on building a high level prototype, also the case study topic is quite hypothetical (like it won't happen in reality).

But I was wondering if anyone has thoughts on approaching it or expectations on the prototype.

When is the best time to apply for entry level UX design/UX Research jobs? I've been applying since September and have been having no luck and Im wondering if its my location or the time that I am applying. Thoughts?
