Does anyone work internally at big 4. Can anyone provide some insight?

Any big4 lawyers who transitioned to the IRS office of chief counsel (national office)? How do you like compared to big 4? I am particularly concerned about having to be in person (at the office) 2-3 days a week.

Has anyone heard of Big 4 TAS layoffs?

This is probably asked an answered before so if there’s a chain of replies please direct me there, but how does one go from B4 to MBB/Tier 2? How many yrs would I have to stay at B4 before trying to change firms? Any insight would be appreciated.

I was recently let go by a Big 4 and I interviewed at Mid-size. I didn’t tell them I was let go and was hired and now working here. Recently realized, the partner I work with and my ex-firm practice partners are good friends. Should I communicate to my ex-firm partner not to share this with my current firm partner when they meet??? Or am I thinking it too much?

So I got an offer with Google (Cloud Consultant). No other offers, but this is a pretty big low-ball. It's actually less than a Big 4 contract position I turned down. I'm feeling conflicted since there's no coding involved on the job, I feel that I will be losing my hands-on coding skills, which may hurt later as I would love to start a startup at some point, as a technical founder/cofounder. The job itself is mostly enterprise cloud migrations to GCP.

Hey all, I’m currently 1 of 2 (going to be 3) women who work in my male dominated field (my office is a total of 55 men) my problem is, during our reviews we can suggest peers to give us their opinions well today I read under things to improve after an otherwise super positive review, that I can improve on having a more professional attitude when with colleagues at after events—in our industry we do a lot of outings most of which I personally spend hours planning. I’m sending an email to female partner in a leadership position (never met) to set up a meeting to introduce myself. My plan is to send her a short email, giving some background about myself and let her know I want to connect to introduce myself. During the meeting, I plan to discuss my key projects, ask about her vision and how I can help her/which initiatives could participate. Anyone work as a Product Manager? How would you describe your role?

Hi, I need your advise… I see lots of jobs as a Manager and lots of people getting hired with great salaries not much skills, however when I apply in getting automatic rejected emails and interviews that go nowhere. I think I’m the interviews they think I am lying of all what I do and current responsibilities and high number of direct reports. Should I tone down on my work and make my experience and actual job seem less than what I do to get interviews and more chances at a good opportunity?
