Any big4 lawyers who transitioned to the IRS office of chief counsel (national office)? How do you like compared to big 4? I am particularly concerned about having to be in person (at the office) 2-3 days a week.
This is probably asked an answered before so if there’s a chain of replies please direct me there, but how does one go from B4 to MBB/Tier 2? How many yrs would I have to stay at B4 before trying to change firms? Any insight would be appreciated.
I work at TCS for Apple as an ML engineer, I have overall YOE of 5.5 years and relevant exp is 2 years, I am serving notice period and I have a few offers from start ups, but looking for opportunities in Companies like Big 4 and FAANG. Have you seen anyone exit big 4 to Bloomberg for an investment research-kinda role? The positions they post seem interesting to me and curious if it's an exit anyone's seen
I've been applying for vacancies posted in big 4 websites since September but I haven't received any response or mails for my applications . In the portal it shows "application under review ".
What does it imply? Can anyone tell
Thank you :)
Folks - What would an Audit senior manager in US migrating to Canada can expect as compensation from a big 4?
Hi Everyone! Looking to learn more about the management consulting strategy arm in Big 4 - would love to have a chat and ask a few questions.
Finished my last round of interview at EY design studio as a Staff UX/UI designer. I just wanted to see how much I should be expecting for base compensation. I’m currently located in NYC & moving from a different big 4.

What salary should one expect for Slalom to offer for a tech consultant (not big 4) with 1 year of experience after undergrad?
Are there any law firms out there with better comp than Big 4 tax and won’t work you more than 50 hours a week?
Might be a dumb question, but what stops the interviewer for a new job from straight up lying about the hours and work life balance? I want to get out of Big 4 but want to make sure I’m not going somewhere with the same hours
I was recently let go by a Big 4 and I interviewed at Mid-size. I didn’t tell them I was let go and was hired and now working here. Recently realized, the partner I work with and my ex-firm practice partners are good friends. Should I communicate to my ex-firm partner not to share this with my current firm partner when they meet??? Or am I thinking it too much?
So I got an offer with Google (Cloud Consultant). No other offers, but this is a pretty big low-ball. It's actually less than a Big 4 contract position I turned down. I'm feeling conflicted since there's no coding involved on the job, I feel that I will be losing my hands-on coding skills, which may hurt later as I would love to start a startup at some point, as a technical founder/cofounder. The job itself is mostly enterprise cloud migrations to GCP.
Hey everyone, I’m looking for a referral for tech consulting, have 1 offer from another B4 and I’m in my last year of undergrad

Has anyone been successful at creating “boundaries” in the workplace both with duties and relationships with bosses and not been gaslighted to believe they just aren’t being a team player ( or in other words highly agreeable)? I’ve seen it happen around me and I’m waiting for the day it directly effects me. I would love to learn from your experiences and success stories…
What do you do when you’ve accepted an offer and later realized you not only lowballed yourself on base pay but also didn’t negotiate for other things like a sign on bonus or other things that you really should’ve? I start in a few days, so it’s too late, but is there an opportunity to revisit?
I’m feeling a little down today and wanted to chers myself up by listening to some coaching sessions on YouTube... They always talk about being strong. But what is a strong woman?
Not be archaic by using this terminology but I’m a female “breadwinner” and my company was acquired recently and the new health insurance benefit is them paying basically none of the insurance for my spouse and child. Is this the new norm? If so I need a much higher paying job to have the take-home I need.
Hi ladies! I feel I am ready to find a more managerial role: manager, supervisor, director, etc. I usually take positions I am over qualified for, which leaves me underpaid and not very challenged. However, I think not having previous manager experience holds me back as well. How does someone get manager roles without having manager experience? Someone has to yes in order to gain it, right?! Is there a way to phrase answers in an interview to get the positions?

Hey all, I’m currently 1 of 2 (going to be 3) women who work in my male dominated field (my office is a total of 55 men) my problem is, during our reviews we can suggest peers to give us their opinions well today I read under things to improve after an otherwise super positive review, that I can improve on having a more professional attitude when with colleagues at after events—in our industry we do a lot of outings most of which I personally spend hours planning. I took this (more in comments)

I’m sending an email to female partner in a leadership position (never met) to set up a meeting to introduce myself. My plan is to send her a short email, giving some background about myself and let her know I want to connect to introduce myself. During the meeting, I plan to discuss my key projects, ask about her vision and how I can help her/which initiatives could participate. I’m up for Sr Mgr promotion and making a good impression is critical. Any tips? anything else I should prep?
Which career pathway to take, if I reside in BC (Canada)

Hi, I need your advise… I see lots of jobs as a Manager and lots of people getting hired with great salaries not much skills, however when I apply in getting automatic rejected emails and interviews that go nowhere. I think I’m the interviews they think I am lying of all what I do and current responsibilities and high number of direct reports. Should I tone down on my work and make my experience and actual job seem less than what I do to get interviews and more chances at a good opportunity?
