Can anyone working at boutique firm share their experience? Is there a lot more busy work to be done? Are you expected to work more or not take PTO since there’s less help to go around? How’s salary compared to Big 4 FDD/TAS/Deals?
I’m so so tired of constantly thinking about work (when I know there are people out there who work just as much as me and really know how to disconnect) and swirling in my head constantly about every little thing. This is something I know I need to work on personally but have no idea how.
How do you expense global entry?
How do you all think remote working is influencing gender dynamics in your teams? I wonder if/how relying on virtual comms with no in-person interactions will help or hurt things.
I committed to being here for 3 years to get that pension $. But it’s been 6 weeks and I already hate it. Someone please tell me it gets better.
What salary percent increase do you usually expect when promoted at the more junior levels (ie. consultant to senior)?
Whats the better option: Long hours, high profile work in a competitive environment for the sake of better remuneration and transparency about targets or A smaller firm where you are comfortable but the money is barely market and the approach to management is very informal and lacking in procedure / structure
Went on a couple of dates with a girl/ she’s been over to my place multiple times and we’ve both agreed that we are at the “seeing each other” stage. I’m new to relationships (this is a whole discussion for another day) and am starting to enjoy spending time with her. Is it okay that I’m still on the dating apps if we aren’t exclusive yet?
Thoughts on living in Denver?? Considering a move there but would love to know pros/cons! I’m a single female. Thanks!
How many you have had down payment assistance on a home from relatives (e.g., parents or in-laws)? That’s 100% fine and I’m glad you were able to get that help. I’m just curious about how consultants fare in that regard.
How long is too long to be an intern? I've been interning for about a 1 year and half now at 4 different agencies. All extended me until I'd leave for another agency. I was told bad timing/layoffs
I’ve been trying to get some graphic design side projects to potentially pivot to self-employed designer. I think I have a competitive portfolio, but I’m having a hard time finding gigs. I tried Fiverr, but it is hard to compete with the prices they charge there. I know many people in the field, as I hang out mostly with designers and creatives, but not many people that could be a client. Any advice?
Looking for a cropped sweater to wear on top of dresses this fall. Would prefer cream/beige. Any recommendations?
Any interview advice for Stats / ML basic prep? Interviewing for a role I am qualified for (just landed same interview at Apple). They mentioned some Stats / ML questions will be involved but not sure how to prep. Tbh the role isn’t stat or ML heavy, it just deals with discussing and interacting with stakeholders of ML models.
So a friend of mine invited a teacher to “hang out” with their student/child outside contracted hours on a weekend. Call me crazy but I think that’s a lil out of line. Teachers have lives outside of your children.
Make 110k base (no debt) and looking to buy a 400k condo. Can I afford this house? Not sure if this purchase price is typical for the income.
Hello! Long time Fishbowl lurker but first time poster. Currently an intern at a small independent agency ready to make the leap to Junior Copywriter. Been networking like a dog on LinkedIn though haven't scored any real interviews yet. Which shops are looking for Junior CW talent currently? And what is the most proactive way to apply? Thanks in advance :)
