I work with several people with kids and I have noticed quite often that they completely disregard any issues of people with no kids and try to one up work life imbalance conversations with stories of them being parents. It must be hard being a parent but I don’t think people at work should be treated differently or given any additional consideration just because they have a kid. You already get parental leave so If I’m expected to work 12hr I ask the same to be expected from my peers with kids.
So a client manager and I used to flirt a lot, though I kept my distance because obviously dontwanttofuckshitup! Now that she is leaving the firm, is it okay to respond to her moves?
Ritz or St Regis for Bali?
Heard some people got H1B lottery results already. Hope we all get selected! Best of luck folks 🤠
Has anybody at PwC taken the 20% LOA while on H1B? Considering it due to personal/family reasons and would like to know potential immigration impact if any.
Hey London 🐠. Considering a move from NYC- would you say cost of living is comparable? Is £68k a healthy salary to live comfortably?
Does anyone here have experience working as a PM for a non-profit? I have an interview with one that I would love to be a part of. I can’t find much information online regarding salary expectations. I am willing to take a pay cut to join a non-profit I am passionate for. That being said - I’m trying to balance knowing it may be lower with not accepting a low-ball offer due to lack of information.
Need some advice: For context I’m an engineering student - I’ve gotten a role as a business analyst for a health tech startup that just raised their series A (10M) and is rapidly scaling. They brought me on part time until I finish up school in the spring. I negotiated to begin my vesting schedule now and I absolutely love the company and product-only problem is that I am losing all motivation for school…especially since it’s engineering. I’m going to finish-but how do I make it easier to balance
Weird. 32 and only started thinking a kid might be fun to have with my boyfriend but also thinking “nahhh”. Going to be a fun 10 years figuring that one out 🤔
Is taking a job at Deloitte worth a 5k salary cut to get the name on my resume? Thinking of working there for two years then exiting to somewhere better.
In house interview: I had an interviewer ask if I was looking eventually move to the business side and I said no but I was wondering if people thought that was the answer interviewers are looking for
