Avg time per company should be greater than 1.5 years.
I have a bestfriend who is in Morgan Stanley having 9yoe who has changed 6 companies.
If you are talented then it is not a problem

If you have worked out a plan on how each job change is resulting in changing roles, then it will be beneficial. Job changes just for incremental income might be myopic

I changed most of my jobs due to big differences between the role offered and actual work .Even joined in some organisation with less salary than previous one .same story again .

On a positive side , by changing jobs ,you become more adaptable and also more tuned to what is the latest thing going in the market.
Other than money and role, the technology and architecture that a new company offers is very important .
You also bring in a fresh change and new thoughts to the company you would join which inturn helps the new company as well.
At times, you also need to switch to prove your worth or else companies keep you bound by bell curve philosophy and you get stuck in a bandwidth.

Having said all these things , i believe 2 years should be a good enough time to spend in a company before you switch

like

I changed 4 companies in last 1.5 years and moved from 10 to 32 lpa. First company I stayed for 10 years and and ctc was 10 lpa during exit

like

I mean nailed it

Depends on how is the job market 😀

Only the very frequent switchers are a trouble for HR to roll out the offer or even shortlist...

Well it does not matter if you are looking for one liner

Looked for MNC jobs in LinkedIn, naukri, etc., almost everywhere it's just Java vacancies. Should I migrate to Java? If yes, how much can i expect? (Got zero Java experience).

Need suggestions.

As the job market recovers and tech talent becomes especially sought-after, some job seekers can be at a crossroads.

Fledgling startup or a big, established company: where would you work?

Working at a startup helps you pick up new cross-functional skills, forces you to dig deeper into your reserves, and allows leadership opportunities.

Big companies typically have a more structured path for career growth, offer benefits and perks to employees, and are perceived as more stable.
